OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0)

It looks like full SBS/TAB files are supported only on PC (Cyberlink PowerDVD, Stereoscopic Player etc., output is framepacked 3D).

Yep - that was what I expected. Don't think the nVidia Shield or Nexus Player support any non-2D modes.

Presumably because the H264 subsystem on the Pi / Pi 2 is max-1920x1080p only, and doesn't support twice the number of macro blocks/pixels that would be required for FSBS or FTAB? MVC is a totally different standard - it compresses the secondary MVC encoded eye feed based on the contents of the primary 1920x1080 H264 eye feed. For the Pi 2 you are best off ripping to MVC MKV (which will be a dual stream 1920x1080 H264 + MVC file) or trialling ISO.

MVC support doesn't mean that 3840x1080 or 1920x2160 decoding is possible.

Quote:nVIDIA SATV does have proper 23.976 support on OTA 2.0 firmware.

Great news.
