Hello, I'm looking to get a android box without breaking the bank and after reading through this thread, some threads on libreelec forums and freaktab, narrowed my choice down to the Mecool M8S Pro L. From what I understand, the new Libreelec firmware from Kszaq seems to have resolved the S912 issues, is this correct? Would it be okay to go with a S912 chip or is it better to go with S905D.
I'll be using this with a 4k TV so want something that won't lag or have issues. Use an old laptop now and while it feels smoother than the S805 box I have in menu, there is a slight lag in 1080p HEVC videos and after trying multiple methods to resolve the issue, I think the CPU is just too old to decode the codec properly. Hence I want a box that can handle 1080P and 4K HEVC. Thank you for the help.
