So if devices before and after are different, this has only one reason: while booting up EDID / Audio information was not yet available and no signal was emitted when that changed. I am running a HSW based setup myself with edid forced and xorg.conf I never had an issue in that combination. Provide Xorg.0.log dmesg | pastebinit and kodi.log with an unsuccesful boot _with_ edid forced.

Thanks for your help! Here we go:

LibreELEC:~ # dmesg | pastebinit
http://sprunge.us/CGOH

KODI-Log
http://pastebin.com/y3ubXdDQ

Xorg.0.log
http://pastebin.com/CFeqJ3RD

All fine after a brief look. Kodi finds the SNY-whatever device. So here you don't have audio?

Yes, no audio and the video pauses every 2 or 3 seconds then continous to play for 2 or 3 seconds, then pauses again and so on and the log is beeing flooded with the error messages that the audio render could not be created.

Side note: SNY = It's not a trick, it's a Sony-(Beamer). But as said I have the same issues on a second TV which is from Samsung.
