@LateAdopter: I think I see now where the screenshot confused you and I PRd a workaround for it: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/10316 - the old code display "yadif=1:-1:1" but this was actually not used and just prepared as a fallback code.
When we open progressive decoding in ffmpeg, we already have a yadif filtergraph constructed, but the settings: 1:-1:1 means: send frames : tell us automatically if top or bottom : do only deinterlace tagged interlaced frames - I am in discussion with fernetmenta if we can also remove that part of the filter graph if it's not used later on.
