Music playing at very low volume
#1
Hello, I'm new to Kodi and I am just getting started with playing my music files. I have a huge library of FLAC audio (16bit/44.1 as well as hi-res). Kodi v17.6 is running on Windows 10 on my new Intel NUC i5, and I'm playing files from my QNAP NAS.

To get started I have added a folder of 16-bit/44.1 FLAC files to see if my tagging is good and to try out the Kodi interface. The problem is that all of my music is playing back at an extremely low volume, something like 20dB lower than normal. I've tried playing a WAV file as well and it's also playing at the same low level. When I play the same music on VLC it plays at the normal level, so I think I can rule out the problem being hardware related. Also I can play movies and TV shows on Kodi with no sound problems. So this is something specific to music playback. After doing a bit of Googleing I also disabled my RealTek Windows driver, but that didn't help.

My connection is Intel NUC HDMI out to my Denon AVR.

In Kodi, audio is set to allow passthrough and I'm using WASAPI: HDMI DENON-AVAMP on both Audio Decoder Output Device and Audio Passthrough Output Device. (Passthrough works fine for movie playback). I've tried Direct Sound and get the same problem. Output configuration is set to Best Match.

I'm worried that this is some problem with running Kodi on my Intel NUC - but I hope it's just a settings problem!

Here's a link to a debug log that I generated yesterday when I was troubleshooting a video related issue http://ix.io/SKT. I'm pretty sure none of my Kodi settings have changed since yesterday. But if I need to generate another debug log then I will.

Thanks in advance!
Kodi 18.0 on Windows 10 Home, version 1803. Intel NUC7 i5 BNKP, 16GB RAM.
