The error initially appeared to fix after an update then a few months later broke again.
I think I've finally solved it (for me anyway).
I was also receiving errors from an 'extended info' add-in.
I navigated to the video add-ins and disabled this add-in. I then closed out of kodi. When i loaded it back up the add-in was no longer displayed.
Now when i click tv shows and attempt to access a show it works perfectly. Not sure if this will work for everyone but seems to have worked for me.
