 What you have now is a cleaner way to implement what you want (but it probably won't fix the issue). I still think there's an issue somewhere that is causing this we just need to dig a bit to find out what it is.

The next time you see this can you note down: 1) The duration of the previous show, the show in question and the show afterwards?    

Okay. First I need to change the duration code and see what difference (if any) that makes. 
Probably an idea to see how things go over the next few days after making the change. If things remain the same, then I'll report back.
