So the logs can't be read, and based on what you see what would you suggest I do to fix the problem or is fixable?

It goes like this:

Session 1 - Actions logged to Kodi.log
Session 1 - Recreate problem
Session 1 - Kodi quits
Session 2 - Start Kodi
Session 2 - Session 1 Kodi.log is renamed as Kodi.old.log
Session 2 - new Kodi.log created

If you select view rather than upload you should be able to see whether it shows the right time period, if you've changed the settings as I advised then it should be viewing the Kodi.old.log file from Session 1
