Ah, I keep forgetting to look into that... I take it you are adding shortcuts to actual files, and then accessing them via the shortcut group? Are they library items, file items in your video source, or plugin paths?

from video source (NAS storage).

Please reproduce it with videofiles > and <  1 GB as shortcuts to a (test-) shortcut group. 
Furthermore video files > 1 GB don't play inside shortcut group.

I would think that your best course of action would be to actually scan them into the library and use those items in a playlist of their own.
