Hi,

I'm considering switching from xbox version to linux. My old xbox is still alive and plays SD fine but HD content is more and more available.

I want a linux version because I love linux. So, here are my questions (sorry if i'm not in the right section)

- What hardware works best ? I heard about Nvidia Ion platform and vdpau wich seems to work only on linux
- How to set up a remote ?
- How to make the linux boot as fast as possible ? (doest it need to load X/gnome/kde ?)

Sorry if my questions have been already asked hundreds of times but didn't find the beginner's page.
