I looked at the changes for the plugin on the google repository and I did not see anything change except the version numbers. Unless I was looking in the wrong place.

It may not fix your problem, but it will be easier to debug with this version.
The error seems to be related to resolving the flickr authorization URL:
http://api.flickr.com/services/auth/
What OS are you running XBMC on? If you can, type that url into a browser on the same machine and see if resolves the page.
This doesn't look at first glance to be a problem with the addon itself, but it's really hard to tell without more info.
