I've jailbroken my ATV2 and loaded the XBMC and iplayer.zip (v2.4.17). Radio works fine, but error message on all live and recorded TV: "script failed: plugin.video.iplayer". I am not in UK and am able to watch iplayer through VPN on iMac (OSX). Please advise, though the less assumptions made on technical knowledge the better!

Well this has got interesting! I only get this problem if I access iPlayer from a video home screen shortcut on Confluence. Used as home screen video shortcut from Confluence, it is displayed as a "Music - Library" rather than "Video." This appears to stop it displaying thumbnails etc (at least on one box - on another box it still displays them even though it still things it's a Music Library.) I've deleted the iPlayer UserData and it still happens. If I access it via Video->Addons or from Favourites it's fine, it only happens when used as a Confluence home screen shortcut (and it gets displayed as "Music - Library.")

Is this an iPlayer bug, Eden bug, or a Confluence skin bug?

Doh. Ignore me. The one that worked was displaying the list as "Music - Files", the other one was displaying it as "Music - Library" - it was having Library mode on that upset it, turning it off fixed it. Having said that - surely it should be displayed only as "Video" if it's a Video shortcut anyway?

Hi, I am suddenly not able to access live tv streams, there seams to be an issue with an array.

I am running the following setup
Starting XBMC (11.0 Git:Unknown), Platform: Linux (Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS, 2.6.32-40-generic i686). Built on Mar 24 2012

what version of the plugin? you should post a full debug log (on pastebin or so) and not just the part you think is important. thanks.

Live streams now working with unblockus .... A little too later after the Olympics but I'm not complaining

Does iPlayer work okay if you try from a browser on a computer/laptop on the same network? That would be my first test.

Secondly, if it is only xmbc having problems, try turning on debug logging (from Settings > System > Debugging), trying an iPlayer stream, then examining and/or posting the relevant portion of your xmbc.log file. Hopefully there might be something in there to indicate where the problem lies.

I see some error reports in there but am not sure what they are telling me, or how it can be resolved though! I think line 204 might be a good place to look as it shows, I think, the player trying to run a programme and shows various errors before giving up.

Don't suppose anyone has an idea on my problem please? Live plays but all iplayer streams buffer and then stop. The log is in the pastebin link above. Can't wok it out. Thanks

Love to get a reply from Exobuzz - Nasa TV streams OK. I'm in the UK and iplayer won't go - log already posted. Would be great to get this running - the main reason we installed/jailbroke the ATV2! (Norwegian NRK doesn't work either but I guess that is a blocking issue, unlike iplayer).

I cannot launch any video. Either live or recorded.

On my laptop via a web browser, works 100%.

Here is how to fix iPlayer in XBMC.

Go ATV Main Screen or on CPU go where DNS address is located.

On Apple TV its Setting/General/ Network

Click done until you see the DNS Address install this.

199.167.030.144

It should work on CPU as well.

There is a new version of the iPlayer. You need to upgrade.

it's the newest 1. There are 2 BBC Players. The developer stopped working on other 1. This is the newest 1 available.
