OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi
I have been having the same problem as evenspae the HD feed that I watch was stopping after 10 minutes. I updated to r127330 and now working so far for over a hour, I do get a a sound flux with pixelation but it is a massive improvement thanks to all involved

isn;t this due to the fact that authors have not marked there skin as frodo ready in the frodo repo?
(2012-12-17, 07:58)Wanderlei Wrote: File corrupted on 512mb board with NO overclocking, password.xm, RssFeed.xml and custom remote.xml all corrupted. For myself overclocking only seemed to toast the ext4 partition, the FAT partition and files on it usually survived. This is first time I see corruption on FAT partition.

(It did freeze when booting up and I hard to hard restart it, so maybe that was the cause)

Edit

Replaced corrupted xml files, then rebooted and ext4 partition become corrupted. (Still no overclocking)

I have file system corruption on my 512 RPi as well. Same image I used on my older 256 board which never had any issues, even when overclocked (with or without force turbo enabled). Corruption is sparse on the 512 if no overclock is enabled, but consistent (and nearly immediate) if I enable any sort of overclock on that board. Seems it's either a firmware or hardware issue with the RPi.

.... because it is not implemented in omxplayer.

Personally I don't mind that. Using the 'skip' function to seek forward or backward works just fine for me. But I'm curious if fast forward/rewind will be added someday. Is it possible with the RPi's limited hardware?
OpenElec 3.0 beta 6 is out.

Same here! Cards with OC settings that worked perfectly in 256, simply corrupt almost immediately in 512. Currently can only run it without any OC.

Anyone else has this problem with the subs?

Had a discussion on IRC:

XVID playback stutters and stops. Used r12728 of openelec.

rduke tested the file also, same issue. XBiAN has no trouble with the file.

In XBIAN I can als do: omxplayer -o hdmi -r File.avi plays very well.

Can a developer look at it? Test file is available, just ask.

File:
XVID
688x384
25fps
Audio
48000 hz 448kb/s

Are the problematic files avi files with B frames using "packed bitstream"?
Mediainfo will show:
Muxing mode : Packed bitstream

I've been testing a patch with Gimli. I believe he's going to push it out.
Please give a sign when the patch is ready, and how to get it, so I can test it...

Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!
Have the R-Pi people made any comment about the SD card corruption issue?

I had a (very cheap) 2Gb card, it was fine, then overnight it just corrupted the second partition (FAT), from that point on, no matter what i did it couldn’t write to that partition, i formatted it, then it would work, after the first boot it was corrupted.

I bought a new Micro SD card (Class 10), this time it has a FAT primary and EXT2 primary as well, no issues so far.

The problem here is i know if the hardware has a fault ive known USB adapters corrupt and put physical bad sectors on a SATA disk, so any hardware controller can physically damage a storage medium.

I have found the less i power cycle the RPI the less issues i had, as there didn’t seem to be a way of powering it down without corrupting the second partition (the one its writing to mostly).
Many Thanks
Ashley

Thank!!!!!! I will try it and report the result...

In Beta 6, its still not possible to bring up the Info panel when browsing Movies.

I see the following in the debug log, but nothing appears on screen when I press the Info button on the remote control (mapped as <info>Info</info>), or "i" on the keyboard:

Code:
21:33:36 T:3043762704   DEBUG: LIRC: Update - NEW at 8868952:166 0 KEY_INFO devinput (KEY_INFO)
21:33:36 T:3043762704   DEBUG: OnKey: launch_media_center (c3) pressed, action is Info
21:33:37 T:3043762704   DEBUG: LIRC: Update - NEW at 8869423:166 0 KEY_INFO_UP devinput (KEY_INFO_UP)
...
21:51:33 T:3043230224   DEBUG: Keyboard: scancode: 17, sym: 0069, unicode: 0069, modifier: 0
21:51:33 T:3043230224   DEBUG: OnKey: i (f049) pressed, action is Info

This is with the default Confluence skin.

Is the info panel missing for Movies, or maybe not hooked up?
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.
Works fine with CEC using a Samsung remote so it must be something else.
