Linux hardware choice for dedicated XBMC machine
#1
Hi there,

It's been long since I assembled my last HTPC. I'm planing on an upgrade and this time "going green" is the main goal (along with 1080p playback of course). As usual, it's gonna be a dedicated XBMC machine as well.

I've always been using NVIDIA for graphics on Linux; is it AMD+ATI a better choice for HD playback? I'm aiming for one of these two: ASUS E45M1M_PRO and AT5IONTI - any idea which one gonna make a better XBMC htpc? Any suggestion(s) is very much appreciated. Cheers!!

Please see the hardware for XBMC forum. http://forum.xbmc.org/forumdisplay.php?fid=112

Nvidia all the way for both setup and playback quality.
