Hi,

Awesome job on this app! I might becoming a convert from Constellation! The app is very fast and fluid!

I've just discovered that setting the TV show 'prefer posters' to true results in this behaviour:

1). Initially TV shows correctly show posters
2) exit App (kill it afterwards even)
3) start app again and go to TV shows

4). Posters will be shown but in the rectangles, resulting in a broken usability experience.

This is using last nights nightly build, and most recent remote app, running ios 6.1

PS. Just noticed this is only an issue on iPhones (not iPads)

@Bingo007x, ok now seems clear: it seems an XBMC issue that doesn't react when we send the Input.Right/Left/Up/Down. I need to investigate.

@lightlike, yep there was an api change and I haven't yet had a chance to find a clean solution. http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/13464

I can reproduce it. Waiting the next release, you can temporarily fix it by deselecting and then selecting again the server row.

It would be great to be able to add custom buttons on the Remote Control page same way you can do with HippoRemote and Mobile Mouse Pro. For example it would be very nice if one could add custom macros. I would like to have option to switch between different programs on my taskbar etc (using the win+1 and so on commands). I like the remote app a lot but because custom buttons are missing I have to get HippoRemote or Mobile Mouse Pro because I would have to switch between different apps if I would use the official XBMC remote for XBMC and then want to switch and control something else like Steam. Also it would be great if the arrow buttons worked outside XBMC.

Maybe add "Universal Remote" or something to the menu on the left and it would give remote that people could customize for their needs with different buttons and macros and so on.

Sadly your wish is out of the scope of the remote app, the app can talk with only XBMC and not with the operating system where XBMC runs.

Ok. Like I said there's HippoRemote and few others that do this so I can use those, but I like the official XBMC remote best for controlling XBMC... maybe we could have someday different "plus" version from XBMC app that has these features. I don't know how much work there would be, but I would sure pay for that app Smile

Hello, i've downloaded the app yesterday and everything was fine, today i've opened it again and all the library has disappeared and i can just browse movies through genres, can you help me please?

@valdus81, which version of XBMC are you using? and which operating system? My fear is that if you are on OSX, you may have run into the non UTF8 encoded answer issue...

I love this app, except for one thing. If I click on the genre button, I get the list of available genres, but all of the lists are empty. If I go into each movie to view the details on the app, it lists the proper categories, so I know the are correct. Any suggestions?

big problem!
So I recntly download the offical XBMC remote app on iOS and it great, when it works. The problem I have is all the proper settings are turned on, I allow control of XBMC via HTTP and UNP and have Zeroconf enabled aswell and it still wont connect? And when it does connect if I turn of my PC and say come back tommorow it will just forget my server and just say No connection, and I will have to go through this whole cycle again. please help.

movies genres don't work on eden.
@abxbmc1, could be that your XBMC server everytime has a different ip? If yes, try to use the hostname instead of the host ip

That feature only works with the latest releast of xbmc. You need to download Frodo. Doesn't work with Eden.
