Apologies if this has been answered already, can't find it in a search. Is there any way to queue/play a smart playlist using the remote? It never works for me, it seems to queue the playlist as a file and then XBMC reports that it can't find the content, presumably because it is not expecting to see that file type in the queue.
Party mode works perfectly, as do album and artist mode, but it would be really nice to be able to use the playlist function.
Cheers

Hi Joe. You create a smart play list in the same way as you configure the party mode, by specifying the filter you want (I normally use genre) and giving them a name. You also give them a track limit.
I think the only difference between a smart playlist and the party mode is that party mode adds tracks to the end of the playlist as they are played from the top, whereas a smart playlist selcts x random tracks when you choose it and plays until they run out.
Ideally I would want the ability to play/queue the smart playlists in the same way as an album. Alternatively if there was some way to change the party mode to the settings of a selected playlist that would also work.
Hope this makes sense.

Yes they are displayed in the 'Music Playlists' section but I can't get them to work. Maybe I'm just not using them properly?

Well, I have created that section by referring to the documentation, but I've never tried so I can't answer at your last question! I will look into this and let you know

My installation of Xbox media center is on a computer that is connected to my router using a cat 6 Cable. My iPhone, using the wireless network, can't connect to XBMC. Is there any particular reason why that is? I apologize if this is been asked before, but it's a pretty big thread.

First of all, i am new here and from Germany so dont expect ma english to be good. I love XBMC and anything you can do with it. After lots of media players i gave it up and so i made an HTPC myself. There is One Question i have with the iphone APP tho.
I Think i found a bug with sorting Movie titles. I like to work with Roman numerals on Movie collections like "James Bond IV" and so on. The problem is, that the sorting is not correct after number 8. 8=VIII and 9=IX. It will put the 9th movie after the 4th! Of course i do understand the problem is causes but In XBMC itself you can just use the <sorttitle> in the NFO to correct that and it displays correctly, but the APP does not recognizes the <sorttitle> at all, so it still shows me the wrong sorting.
Any One with the Same Problem? It would be nice if it shows Movies in the exact same sorting than XBMC does.
Greets to all!

Does anybody know if there is an option somewhere to autopause the movie when you receive a phonecall?
