[Discontinued] NHL Gamecenter Addon
(2013-04-01, 19:55)Carb0 Wrote: When do you get that error message? Can you post a log?

This morning, but sorry no log available. Shortly after my earlier post I started getting the same error message on my ATV2 units. That said, however, all is now well - it's working error free on my ATV2's and my MacBook via XBMC.

Thanks for your timely response.

You can't compare this addon with the website. They use different streaming technologies and probably different servers. This addon uses the same streams as the Gamecenter apps that are availble on the Xbox 360, PS3 and so on. If it works on those platforms but doesn't work in the addon, it's an issue with the addon/XBMC otherwise it's a server issue.

i have no bandwidth issues at all
2 meg up / 26-32 down Meg ( this is a fairly consistent number all the time )
have no issues when running through IE
only have buffering with add -on
happening again today
when it pauses, and shows buffereing at the top, i can see it moving up % wise, but sometimes it will just stall out
and if i exit it and go back in, its fine gain for a bit

i am watching jets game now through IE again
DOHHH
its a shame, cuz i so like the xbmc plugin more......

could it be the computer i am running this off of
Windows 7 on A FOXCONNnT-A3550 Nano PC Barebones System w/ AMD E350, Radeon HD 6310, DVI-I, HDMI ( 4gig ram)

i onlly run win7 and xmbc
would i be better suited to try ubuntu ?

No. Different sources for website viewing vs the add-on.

Thanks for this great addon. I have installed Frodo 12.1 on Win7 64-bit. This is a clean install of xbmc.
This addon constantly crashes xbmc, with no visible errors - xbmc program simply disappears. I don't see any problems with the rest of xbmc, it is stable as long as I don't run the nhl video addon.

The first time the addon runs I don't have any problems if I select a game and play it. Later, if I move around folders, hit escape to go back, or stop a game that is playing it will always crash.
From my log I can only tell that it reloads the python script every time. For awhile I might be able to look in the Live folder, back out and go to Condensed, but eventually it will crash.

I played around with your other addon theverge, and its stable on my system.

Try version 0.5.2. It contains a possible fix for the crashes on all platforms.

Unfortunately, I don't know if this really fixes the issues since the addon never crashes on any of my machines (Win7 64bit [main HTPC], OSX 10.8.3, iOS 6.1.2) and the logs are in this case not very informative.

Thanks I did try 0.5.2 and it still crashes although not as regularly as it did with 0.5.1. With 0.5.2 I could play a stream and stop it, navigate around, but next stream would crash it.

I was able to test this on a second Win7 64bit machine and it behaves the same. I tried different builds of frodo, and even tried eden and it crashes them all.

I've updated to 0.5.2 and I'm getting the same "Script failed!: gamecenter.py" error that I mentioned yesterday.

How to I initiate a log and export it to post here?

Thanks,
D.

Upload xbmc.log on pastebin.com. In section 3.1 on the following website you can find the path to the file:

Hey there, update...

Although the folks over at unblock-us.com claim that their service only changes the region for Netflix, it clearly also has an effect on NHLGC too. I've toggled my Netflix setting between Canada and USA and your addon will only work for me if I use a American IP address. Why that is, I don't have a clue?

All the same, just thought I'd offer this feedback for whatever it's worth.

Thanks for your time,
D.

Should this work with Rpi? I remember I tried the script a long time ago with Rpi and it worked.

However now that we got XBMC Frodo on Rpi, I just can't get the script to work. XBMC crashes when I try to play anything.

Here are the relevant parts from the log, the crash starts when trying to play anything. Sometimes XBMC crashes when I'll enter the Archive before trying to play anything..
