I believe in the nightlies section of raspbmc is a "speed" build which has the patches:

Individual folders. More hierarchy means less time wasted iterating directories.

Also final question - which is faster - raspbmc or openelec?

Depends who you ask....

There are a lot of openelec fans. There are a lot of raspbmc fans. There are a lot of xbian fans. They all tend to believe their choice is best.

You could try them?

I would say OpenELEC. Having said that I have just switched to Raspbmc as it gives you more options.

Im using raspbmc and I wondering if gui is 720p
I had to recalibrate the video and the new settings seems like when raspbmc didnt patch the gui to 1080p.
Thanks

The Raspbmc nightly build is before the guires limit switch was introduced in Dom´s XBMC build (newclock3).
So if you want to run 1080 gui on that particular build you need to use Raspbmc Settings addon and turn of the guires limit.

But for this setting to work, Sam's patch should be applied before building XBMC.
Was it applied?

I am quite sure that Sam´s patch was included in that nightly (not 100% though).
And if I am wrong, don´t worry, I am certain that Dom´s patches will be introduced quite soon as it seems very stable.

56C at moment, but it's not doing much.

What is your temperature, after 5 minutes browsing?

I have 84celsius, is it to hot? I have overclocking to 1ghz

With 900mhz i have highest 78celsius.

Tested with skin Ace!

That's the highest temperature I've heard of. It's still in spec, so probably isn't a problem (but you may find overclock is disabled when it hits 85).
What's the ambient room temperature and what sort of case do you have? Does it sit on other hot equipment?

Ok, my old position was not good, 5cm over AV-receiver but the ace skin is very hard for the pi, later i test with 1Ghz again. The datetime enabled is not good in this skin, it makes every 2 seconds a refresh.

I have this case:

My RPis run at 1000/500/600/6 and the highest temps I see are around 55 Celsius with a room temp of 25.

That's with Amber or Confluence skin. Are you sure there's nothing wrong with that particular RPi?

Case I use: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pi-Box-Case-En...43b5a1e9b0
