[OLD/CLOSED] PseudoTV Live - Set-Top box solution
Trying this for the first time and I am getting a black screen trying USTVNOW channels. I didn't post a log because I wanted to ask these questions first...
1. In order to use USTVNOW, do I have to make an xmltv file?
2. Did I read correctly that there is an xmltv file available but it is only for "donaters"?
Luna - Soz, me again.
Has anybody reported any issues with the USTVNOW plugin not working with the latest master build? Updated to this version yesterday with a clean install and used the auto-tune feature to set-up these channels up like I did with the previous build (with no problem), but when I launch PTVL now nothing happens and just seems to crash with the blank screen syndrome. If the channels are removed and replaced with something else (playlist/strm file) it works fine. Reverted back to the previous build earlier just to see if these channels would still work/load and yes they did, with no problem, so not sure what's causing the problem with the latest build.
Like I said, not sure if anybody else has had this same problem?

Here's my log http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=91618

1. USTVNow includes xmltv on its own, and you don't need to be a donator to use it.
Make sure you are using my build of ustvnow in post 1, and don't let any "unofficial repos" update it.

2. Future LiveTV autotune channels will only be available as a thank you to donators.

that log was not from a fresh autotune...

I think your setting2.xml is misconfigured, its trying to load
trying to open L:\XBMC Downloads\TV Guide\m2cxml PTL\XMLTV.xml

which isn't need for ustvnow...

post a link to your setting2.xml please

Did you disable all tvdb/tmdb settings? its in beta so you really should try disabling anything that says (coming soon).
If after disabling you still have issues, send me a new log...

I updated the pastebin link with the new log. http://pastebin.com/TFmBFyTr
Thanks!

Can't say I've ever seen that problem before... Its an easy fix, but it requires me to update code... I will fix in the next master push...

just one question what kind of xmltv id is "NA_SD_CA04486:-_10743_5 " what xmltv grabber are you using and what country?

Soz, have never posted any log before so apologies for the ignorance on my part. Hope it is this one then : http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=91617

Setting2.xml : http://pastebin.com/KH9eF9KX Just for one channel.
Yeah, saw under previous build that the plugin was pulling in guide data automatically, but for some reason the data I was getting was incorrect, hence why I was pointing to an XMLTV file I'd created for the channels. But definitely under latest build I'm getting nothing, even when I don't point to that XMLTV file, removing the link completely from PTVL.

It's not a problem...
black screen is a common symptom with my fork... anything that stops PTVL from creating a channel will result in a black screen...

So having it can mean many things... the log is the only thing that lets me know what exactly went wrong.

Hi Luna,
That's right.
Under the previous build, if I autotune for USTVNow, don't touch anything and leave PTVL to do it's stuff at the start-up, all the channels work but for some reason I get the wrong guide data. If I edit the setting2.xml file and point my own XMLTV File, all the channels still work and I get the correct guide data too. So everything seems to be configured correctly under that build.
So I saved a copy of the Setting2.xm file before, deleting this build completely from my system and did a clean install of the latest build, thinking it would be a simple case of copy/pasting that data from my own previous setting.xml file into the new one created, but all I get is just a black screen. Same result as well if I autotune in the latest build, not touching anything and using the USTVNow xmltv file, I get the black screen again.
Hope the explanation makes sense of what's happening and the results I'm getting. Don't know, I set things up in exactly the same way under the latest build as to what I did under the previous one, just getting a very different result. Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. Smile

Is it possible to add multiple RSS feeds to one channel? For example, I'd like to have a Revision3 channel with the shows that I like instead of just a channel for Tekzilla and a channel for HDNation, etc.
