Lunatixz, Quick question. What setup should be used for radio station streaming?

I was trying to setup some of the sky fm streams which seem to be available in to different location.

http://pub1.sky.fm/sky_80sdance and
http://www.sky.fm/80sdance

I used the following setup, but got nothing.

You need a direct source of the stream, not just the website... use a url snooper to find the source of the stream

Yeah, I understand what you are staying and the concept of having dynamic artwork enabled.
I know it might have sounded a bit of a weird and dumb-ass question to ask, but there was a reason for asking. Well, 2 reasons actually.
1) I'm not getting any posters/logos showing up for local movie files, but I am getting posters for my local TV shows, but not the logo. I do have all the necessary artwork stored locally for both Movies and TV shows.
2) When I enable API key for TMDB, PTVL is successfully parsing/updating all channels and opening with no problem. Artwork is also shown, but after 30 seconds or so, I'm getting a screen freeze and unable to move anywhere within the guide. Also, I've noticed that while I'm getting movie posters, I don't seem to be getting them for all. I've never seen this happen before, so it's quite un-usual. The only way I can exit is to close XBMC down completely via CTRL/ALT/DEL option.
So I have 2 different probs, so guess you would want 2 different logs?

Please recreate the dynamic artwork enabled freeze bug, so I can find out what the problem is.

your other problem sounds like just a skin issue, hope you can understand my primary goal is to finish major features and then turn to cleaning up skin and interface problems...

No, No, that's totally fine and totally understand your priorities with the project. I normally do a search of the thread first anyway to see if any other users have had the same issue, but couldn't see anybody else reporting this, so maybe thought it was unique to me, or possibly more likely something I may have been doing wrong.
Yeah, I did enable debugging in PTVL as well as XBMC in the first instance, but for some reason the log uploader was giving me a script error......Grrrrrrr! Will try again and post the log when I have it. Thanks again

Update: The good news is that the screen freeze I was getting when dynamic artwork was enabled appears to have resolved itself. I currently use the Aeon Nox skin in XBMC and I tried reinstalling the skin to see if that would make any difference. And yes, it appears to have done the trick. Ran PTVL 5/6 times with DA enabled for several minutes at a time and didn't get any screen freeze issues like I was getting earlier. Don't know why, but who cares. That particular issue seems to have gone away.
Still getting issues with Posters and Logo's not being captured though, even with DA enabled. Sometimes it's one or the other and sometimes a combination of the two, ie no poster or logo.
Did what you said for the log and enabled debugging again in PTVL and XBMC, but when I tried the uploader, it seemed to crash again, so don't know whats happening there. But I will try again

At what time does the next box pop up at? Is it at a certain percentage of the video, or a set amount of time from the end of the video? Sorry I've seen it before just don't remember how far along the videos were.

I can't seem to get a YoutubeTV channel working from a YouTube playlist.
Could someone possibly post an example of what a settings2.xml looks like with a functioning YoutubeTV playlist channel?

I began to make streams of the the local radio stations and began with 107.5 WBLS hear in NYC. After jumping through hoops I was able to to ascertain that this station feeds is provided by streamtheworld.com on a encrypted link. Using a few tools i was able to download a playlist file (WBLSFMAAC.PLS) with the following content.

Holy crap! two of the features I've been wanting forever!

I gave up on the idea of adding artwork to the coming up notification box like a year ago, so that's awesome that you were able to make it work--I can't wait to try it!

Also anyway to add music channels is huge for me, so If someone's actually able to get these streams working thats not as great as being able to add music genre channels based off of local content, but hey radio station streaming would at least be a great start.

I read the First page of this post time and time again but it is too difficult to comprehend and i still havent found a setting 2.xml
file i have found a settings.xml file which looks way too confusing when opened up in notepad

can some one please do a video tutorial or explain in a idiots guide too way as yes i dont get it but i do like the idea of having youtube PLAYLIST AND CHANNELS RUNNING IN FORK PSUDEDO TV

Renamin the file to strm did not work.
