Amazon Fire TV for XBMC
Whats the quickest way to enable usb with root. There was a tutorial a while back which was a little complicated?
Just a heads up for those who are not rooted. With the new firmware update, in order to access XBMC you can't just go to the system settings, applications section and then scroll down to the XBMC icon. There is now an extra section called "Manage All Installed Applications" that you have to click on before you can get to the sideloaded apps. Not a deal breaker by any means but still a minor annoyance.

sideload stickmount
Main System - HTPC - Intel I3 6300 - Asrock z170 - 16 GB DDR4 - 128gb SSD - 65" UHD HDR Sony Android TV - Pioneer VSX 1130-K - 7.2.2 speakers
Other devices currently in use - 55" 3D UHD LG TV - 2 Fire TV's - Nexus Player - MiniMX s905 - Voyo Vmac Mini
Ubuntu Server - 12 TB NAS - MYSQL - Torrent Box
so if i update my system, besides rooting again, what else do i need to do?
i just have xbmc (changed icons and sacrificed classic tv), stickmount to use USB external HD, llama, SU, es explorer

thanks

I have read the thread. There were two sets of instructions. Which is the preferred method is what I'm asking.
Also would like the easiest method to root.
