Req Full Blu Ray BD-J support for decrypted BluRays
I'm trying this new build but i have a big problem. With this build i can't play regular m2ts files. When i load the simplified menu i chose play main title and it starts to play but it works only the audio. Not the video. Regular mkv with h264 works well. Tried with gotham and it works. I play it directly from disc with anydvd hd enabled. With other tools it works well. also with this tool menu works perfectly
Here's the log:

Seems to be something related to dxva, can you please test with software decoding?

With software decoding works well:

Unrelated question. Is there a shortcut to trigger bd popup menu?

Ace, going to test this build today with some blurays.
If I understand correctly ISO does not work, but extracted Blurays work (or at least some...)

Will be back later with some info.

Tried various movies, including Winter Soldier (Cap america).
Captain America is not working here. I cannot seem to get passed the start image (the cap america shield).
Time is ticking but nothing happens (also not after 5 min)

Other movie -> bourne identity, I can choose the language and then it shows (Brein disclaimer concerning copyright) and then it hangs..

bdj related or XBMC related? (Or am I doing something wrong)

Hi thanks for the new build, it is working far better now!

Following issues I encountered after a quick test:

General functionality/easy to overcome:

- smb:// location does not work with menus for BDMV folders (I guess that could also be issue with ISO that paths in Java or so not accessible)
- mapped network drive works for BDMV folder over network as does a symbolic link to UNC destination (connect on demand so better than mapped network drives that do not connect on start, they would only connect from explorer, not from normal programs like XBMC)

Functionality?
- how is chapter skipping done? "Prev"/"Next" does a 3sec jump for me in BluRay playback mode (other keys to be used?)
- what are the mappings for "Main Menu" / "Popup menu" in BluRay playback mode? Fiddled around with all buttons but could not open it

Discs not working:
Game of Thrones, menu will not start

Discs partially working:
Star Trek TNG BluRays

Menu items to chose are invisible, maybe they use Alpha Blending and are rendered invisible because of this not working. Menu items have a semitransparent LCARS color background and font is fully transparent when I remember correctly.

Disc fully working:
Casino Royale (Craig-Bond)

Do we have a Place wehre to put disc compatibility info?

I found out how to call popup menu. ctrl + shift + M. I don't think there is a main menu call yet because in dvd is the same.
If someone wants to jump between points with usual dvdplayer command bar can double-click and the commands will appear

I tried several blurays with debug and i have my first results. I tried all discs with the original copy and anydvd hd with 3 different softwares to have the results. Kodi, dslibbluray and Total Media theater. I have 5 observations:
1) Almost everytime main menu shows up before it should. Usually in blurays there is a video to play before the menu and when it ended it starts a 2nd video behind the menu with the menu. In kodi the menu always appear before the end of the first and not when it ends and starts the 2nd. I tried with dslibbluray and it doesn't happen so is kodi related
2) I have 3 blurays with truehd and all have slowed-down playback and audio problems. When i change the audio track everything returns normal. This only happens with menu loaded and not loading directly the playlist. Also in this case dslibbluray doesn't have the problem so probably kodi problem.
3) Usually next chapter and previous chapter are arrow up and arrow down. With blurays it seems they never work, also triggering from the dvdplayer bar doesn't work.
4) Bluray have sometimes localized menus. Is this something it's not implemented in libbluray, something that libbluray has and kodi doesn't or that kodi has and i failed to use?
5) DSLibbluray only plays bd menu. Nothing else. Has only 4 functions: Next chapter, previous chapter, top menu, popup menu (working only in hdmv) but is smoother and more "premium" than actual kodi so is a good comparison even if it uses libbluray 0.2 right now.
Here's my lists (all italian versions except some):

Working:
V for vendetta (BD-J)
the dark knight (BD-J)
batman begins (BD-J)
the dark knight rises (BD-J)
young frankenstein (BD-J)
argo (BD-J)
Spider-man (BD-J)
Man in black 2 (BD-J)
Moulin Rouge (BD-J)
Avatar ext coll edition (BD-J)
Avatar ext coll edition extra 1 (BD-J)
veronica mars - the movie (eng) (HDMV)
man of steel (HDMV)
2001 space odissey (HDMV)

Partially working:
the dark knight extras (BD-J) - no audio, subtitle selection doesn't work. Works perfectly in dslibbluray - Log
Man in black (BD-J) - menu works well but when i play the bd it doesn't. It's all noise and crackle and video play jerky because of truehd (works in dslibbluray and with other audio tracks) - Log
The Green Mile (HDMV) - No main menu so it starts to play directly but it's all noise and crackle and video play jerky because of truehd (works in dslibbluray and with other audio tracks) - Log
Blade Runner (HDMV) - No main menu so it starts to play directly but it's all noise and crackle and video play jerky because of truehd (works in dslibbluray and with other audio tracks) - Log
the dark knight rises extra (HDMV) - no audio, subtitle selection doesn't work. Works perfectly in dslibbluray - Log
the prestige (HDMV) - extras play all works, play single track doesn't load video and audio, only subs - Log

Not working:
star trek (BD-J) - black screen with white hover in the menu no text and can't move - Log
star trek extras (BD-J) - black screen with white hover in the menu no text and can't move - Log
Spider-man 2 (BD-J) - keeps spinning and doesn't load - Log
Spider-man 3 (BD-J) - keeps spinning and doesn't load - Log
Man in black 3 (BD-J) - black screen and hangs on menu load (after sony video logo) - Log
Shindler's list (BD-J) - keeps spinning and doesn't load - Log
Avatar ext coll edition extra 2 (BD-J) - keeps spinning and doesn't load - Log

Thank you very much! Also for the comparison with dslibbluray. That tool crashes for any disc I've tried to play.

Could you please test the disc from post http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1793580 with dslibbluray?

I probably know the problem (or at least that was my problem). To make bd-j discs work you need JRE 7 32 bit. It's not working with jre 8. But every version from 5 to 7 works fine. I'm trying to compile the source code that is updated with some fixes and a newer libbluray version with no luck right now

I tried it anyway with dslibbluray and it doesn't work. It doesn't load the menu at all and it stops at "Listening for transport dt_socket at address: 8000" and it never receive anything from the jvm. Exactly like in my list with Spider-man 2, Spider-man 3, Shindler's list and Avatar ext coll edition extra 2

I can't even register the filter and dlls of dslibbluray on Win8.1 - always getting errors.

You're using the batch file? They're actually wrong.
It needs admin rights to register the files. but if you start a batch with admin rights it will start from c:\windows\system32 so you need to copy dslibbluray.ax and EVRMixer.dll to c:\windows\system32 or edit your batch files in this way:
32 bit:
%windir%\System32\regsvr32.exe "%~dp0dslibbluray.ax"
%windir%\System32\regsvr32.exe "%~dp0EVRMixer.dll"
64 bit:
%systemroot%\SysWOW64\regsvr32.exe "%~dp0dslibbluray.ax"
%systemroot%\SysWOW64\regsvr32.exe "%~dp0EVRMixer.dll"

And then run it as admin

Do you have "DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)" installed ?

P.S. You can try my reg tweak which adds a register and unregister command in the right click menu for .ax .dll and .ocx files
Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.AX]
@="axfile"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\axfile\shell\Register]
@="Register"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\axfile\shell\Register\command]
@="regsvr32.exe \"%1\""

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\axfile\shell\UNRegister]
@="UNRegister"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\axfile\shell\UNRegister\command]
@="regsvr32.exe /u \"%1\""

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\dllfile\shell\Register]
@="Register"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\dllfile\shell\Register\command]
@="regsvr32.exe \"%1\""

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\dllfile\shell\UNRegister]
@="UNRegister"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\dllfile\shell\UNRegister\command]
@="regsvr32.exe /u \"%1\""

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.OCX]
@="ocxfile"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ocxfile\shell\Register]
@="Register"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ocxfile\shell\Register\command]
@="regsvr32.exe \"%1\""

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ocxfile\shell\UNRegister]
@="UNRegister"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ocxfile\shell\UNRegister\command]
@="regsvr32.exe /u \"%1\""

I noticed these errors and tried to manually register them which sort of worked, but it throwed an error about not being able to execute or something. Will check the DX runtimes - thanks Mercury_22
