RaspBMC Kodi/XBMC test builds
The Raspbmc Settings addon is not updated for Helix.
I don+t think you can use the nightly options in Helix.

However you should be able to choose and/or change scraper, I don´t have any issue with that.

As always, a debug log might show something....

So far no problems with the latest NB.
Thanks for the "Add settings option to boost centre channel when downmixing" but thinking as average user, he has no reference of how X dB is. I would suggest use this option as a percentage not as dB

1 dB = 12% increase? Am I correct? If so 1db it's too much for the first available value on the list. I would add 0,1 - 0,9 db (<12% increase)
What do you thinkg popcornmix?

http://www.redwirez.com/pcalc.jsp

Another thing. Set a maximum of 100% increase (200%) - or less (6 db) otherwise some one can torn the speaker.

Mine Raspbmc setting does not work either when switching NB . There's no filter AFAIK for Gotham releases or anything else.
So I don't know why the popup its not showing.

Here the required log: xbmc.log

Here a screenshot of what I see when I try to change music scraper; Image.

Basically I can't see any item highlighted when I use the usual remote arrow keys / select, I can ony go back.

@Epg1 - I can reproduce this in my OpenELEC builds, so I'd say it's a general Kodi issue.

To reproduce: Music -> Library -> Albums, context menu (Change scraper) and then in the subsequent dialog, all input is ignored (although you can "hear" the gui sounds corresponding to each button press).

kodi-14-20140928-nc4.

I was adviced to try Raspbmc/Kodi in a thread as I get audio drops with Openelec and some HD 24/96 multichannel files.

Unfortunately I get the same issue:
If you have an AVR/Amplifier with 5.0 or 5.1 speakers could you test some files in this site 2L.
Choose "Test bench HD audio files" at the upper right hand side and choose
Surround 5.1 FLAC 24BIT/96kHz column.
I mainly use Beethoven: Sonate 32 - Maestoso Tor Espen Aspaas (solo piano)

To download audio files username: 2L and password: 2L is requested.

Then let me know if you have sound drops with different players.
If not could you tell me what is your config?

This is the link with the .m3u https://mega.co.nz/#!O9AjGQYZ!fKDf3HZ9MP...8Pfvht0ULo

Hope if some of the devs take a look into it!

I just tried the first stream both with omxplayer and MMAL acceleration and both seemed fine (still playing after a few minutes).
This is my dev build rather than raspbmc, but it suggests it's not an xbmc on pi specific problem.

Can anyone else play these on raspbmc?
@henryperu77 does it work for you with openelec?

I played on raspbmc only, i dont have openelec ... its possible to change the default player on raspbmc? oxmplayer instead of dvdplayer?

I only tested this first m3u file, in OpenELEC #1001 build, and all the ts streams are seen as having a duration of only 4 seconds.

Here's a debug log using all acceleration options enabled - there are a lot of ffmpeg [aac] errors as soon as I enter the folder containing the m3u file at 133.181168 seconds - presumably one group of errors for each ts in the m3u.

Playback commences at 211.061035, whereupon video/audio plays for 4 seconds, stops, then continues for another 4 seconds, stops, continues for another 4 seconds etc.

If I disable OMXPlayer so that only MMAL is enabled, I have only audio and no video before playback ends after 4 seconds (then continues, stops, continues etc.)

VLC 2.1.5 on Windows 7 does more or less the same, it plays each ts for only 4 seconds then stops, although there is no audio only video. Windows Media Player 12 also plays each ts for only 4 seconds (again, video only no audio).

Strange that Kodi on Windows will play this m3u, maybe a debug log from the Windows client during playback would shed some light - what version, player etc. Maybe this is an ffmpeg 2.4.1 problem?

It plays fine on VLC buffer for some time but after a bit will play . They work too on Kodi windows and simpletv player for windows

My version of Kodi on windows is XMBC 14.0-Alpha3 Git:20140831-d6c3ef3 (compiled: Sep 1 2014)
When in kodi windows i use the option Play using... and choose XBMC (Raspbmc) the stream plays without problems on my rpi... its weird.

I should restate my previous comment about VLC - it will begin to play the m3u file but it's not the first file in the ts that it plays, so maybe it's skipping over all the "broken" files (it starts with a man and a woman in snow suits on the horizon with a vehicle of some kind). There is no audio, only video. Playback freezes after about 15 seconds.

When playing the ts files directly in VLC, starting with the first ts listed, they only play for 4 seconds.

Looking at the timestamps of the ts files, they do seem to be only 4 seconds long...

The first ts is only 299KB in size.
