I would like to preface this post with the following. I am using datho vpn and signed up for unlimited bandwidth access.
With current release I was able to watch all NBA games live last night in 720p. I live in the US but have an nba international league pass account and as far as I can tell worked flawlessly. This is why you would need a vpn, so the nba league pass add-on would work for US residents. Datho vpn does provide a free vpn service, but with limited bandwidth. So streaming hd content with the free vpn service is not doable.
With everything setup, I just launched the add-on and I was able to watch live nba games in 720p. If you don't use a vpn, I recommend starting!
Also, I would like to note the streaming looks infinitely better through xbmc, than if I logged in with my laptop and hooked it up to my tv using hdmi. My laptop usually has this weird pixelated look

Which version of the add-on are you using Sopesi? I found 0.6.7 - I had 0.1.5 before I think and it didn't work. 0.6.7 plays back archived games fine... I will have to test live games tonight. If that works, all 4 of the big NA sports leagues will be working via XBMC for me, and there'll be no need for me to go back and forth via browsers from the PC to the TV, it can all be done via the click of the remote using XBMC!
EDIT: It's game time now, and the Magic - Wizards game in streaming well in glorious HD! This is great... thanks to all the developers for all the sports leagues apps!!!

I think it is still corrupted - it says that it is not in the expected format (have tried downloading a couple of times)
Thanks for the hard work.
Cheers

Are you using xbmc 14? I recently installed it with xbmc 13 and had no problems

Yesterday I found out something interesting. In Windows, it works (I am using Kodi version 14 in Windows, but working in 13.2 as well).
In Android / OpenELEC, it does not (whether 13 or 14 it does not matter), so I have to use 0.6.7 instead.
Not sure why it does this.

I know I'm a little late to the party, I wanted to give a small update on my status.
I recently purchased an Amazon Fire TV with the promise of an "NBA Game Time" app that I can watch live games with. Apparently this doesn't apply to outside the US (I don't understand why since my phone and the Amazon Fire TV both run android and presumably the same app). Of course I side-loaded KODI and I am happy to report that the NBA app posted by maxgalbu works wonderfully!

Hi maxgalbu,
Is there a way to force a lower bitrate on live games? Im from Australia and I keep getting buffering issues with Live games.
Thanks

I only watch archived games with this (0.7) on windows, but never have any problems with streaming 720p.
Really fantastic!
Thank you very very much to all who are involved to make this addon happen!!!
