TVHEADEND TVH addon
(2014-11-09, 17:24)negge Wrote: pvr.tvh will replace pvr.hts in time for the next release

That sounds good.
Any idea, when pvr.tvh will be pushed upstream (or pulled from there)?

I might be blind! but i didnt notice any gotham linux builds unfortunately.

Btw, if anyone uses openelec this guy has got transcoding working with a tvheadend build. It works great, dont know if it works with helix though.

http://openelec.tv/forum/79-tvheadend/73...ild-inside. I use a chromebook as my laptop and can now stream tv to it.
Just made a new release (0.9.6) which is rebased on upstream where the Mac OS X threading fix has been applied. This means this addon (and pvr.hts for that matter) now work correctly on Mac OS X. Other operating systems shouldn't be affected so there's no need to bother upgrading just yet if you're still on 0.9.5.
I got the Amazon Fire TV box and installed xbmc and spmc, both from the gotham line.

Live TV can be played with both, using tvheadend as backend. When they play they do fine (no stutter, no artefacts), but both crash VERY frequently, and xbmc is worse than spmc.

Then I installed kodi. It also runs, but the pvr for tvheadend is outdated, and I cannot connect to tvheadend. This is quite unfortunate, as the Fire TV box is really nice, and obviously powerful enough.

Can't you provide the pvr for Android in the current status so that kodi can run? I haven't seen compiled pvr's being made available in this thread (and even if they were - how in the hell do I get them into that box?)
I don't have any Android devices so I can't provide any builds at this point. If you experience crashes or can't connect to tvheadend using the addon you'll need to provide logs.

I could recover the kodi logs. It is missing the proper pvr.hts file. The pvr.tvh is not available at all.

UPDATE: I stand corrected - with this kodi apk from yesterday (http://mirrors.xbmc.org/nightlies/androi...bi-v7a.apk) the pvr.hts Version is 1.9.32 and it does allow connection to my tvheadedn backend. I'll keep using kodi and see how this works out on the AFTV.
I did order a cubox to test OpenElec on it. Would someone be kind enough to compile PVR.TVH for that platform?

It works so well under x86_64 Rofl
No deinterlacing on cubox with openelec :/

Ho! Where does this limitation comes from?
- XBMC
- OE
- PVR.TVH
Dont know https://github.com/OpenELEC/OpenELEC.tv/pull/3606
The addon obviously has nothing to do with deinterlacing so I can't help you there.
It appears there is a version 0.97. Is there a way someone could compile this for both Raspberry PI and Intel NUC Openelec (x64)?

Or don't these versions get created for Gotham anymore?
I could create a new Gotham release, haven't done it yet since you're the first to ask for one.
If I could ask for Helix/Kodi release - it would be great. I've upgraded to beta2 and beta3 and both have problem playing LiveTV with subtitles stream enabled (while subtitles disabled - everything is OK). I'm using RPi with OpenElec 4.95.3 with pvr.hts. Log shows as if I'm pressing pause/resume (which I'm not) and screen stops for a second or so and continues... Here are few lines from log:

That's likely unrelated to the addon.
