Oh guys I apologize for too much false alarms regarding my freezing issue. I have experienced it two times today again. I am unable to work out now what's causing it as nothing has changed in my setup since yesterday. Yesterday it has been working fine and today the freezing has occured again.
When it's not working like it should I can launch Kodi, click the TV icon on its home screen and ooops right at this moment kodi freezes and I can do nothing.
What I have found as a little workaround is that I'll start playing a movie and let it play for some e.g. 30 seconds then I can open TV like normal. I really don't know what is going on here.

Does anybody know if there is a build of this plugin for OpenELEC on the Raspberry Pi?
The latest RC of OpenELEC works really great, but the default tvheadend plugin is sooo sloooowwww and crashes occasionally.

I wonder, why does it take so long on slow hardware to show the (uncached) list of recordings? I thought it was a problem of pvr.hts, but pvr.tvh has exactly the same problem. On my Raspberry Pi it takes about half a minute (no kidding) to show the list with about 600 recordings. On an old Asrock PC I used before it was faster, but also very slow. On my modern desktop PC however it takes only about 1 second, so I am sure it has nothing to do with the tvheadend server (they all connect to the same server).
On the Raspberry Pi I now access the recordings over NFS, that is much faster. I don't see a reason why this plugin needs much more time than NFS, as both have to get exactly the same (file) list from the server. The only visible difference is that the plugin also retrieves EPG info.

You just download one of the ZIP files linked recently and install from the addons menu.

Hello there, I am using Helix (OpenELEC5) on a NUC. I have the TVHeadend 3.9.2182 running. I tried timeshifting and I can pause and resume but unfortunately no skipping/fast forwarding. I tried the pvr.hts that comes with OE and also the newest pvr.tvh that I could find (0.9.7).
For me both have the exact same results. Do you have any ideas where my mistake is? Btw: I'm using IPTV.
