Release Amber now updated to support Kodi 14.0\Helix
Reinstalled Amber today and it is Fantastic as it has always been... thanks...

one shameless request/help, is it possible to set the type of artwork in the "list" view for TV Shows?
Let me explain, for some tvshows the "Poster" is used and for some other the "Banner" is used.
The banner doens't "fill" the screen as well as the "poster" does.
So I woudl like to force all thvshows to have posters displayed. (or at least choose what type of artwork to use...)

Is it possible?

Thanks a lot

Sounds like your KODI has a problem with artwork cache or something. Refetch artwork for problematic TV Shows and then choose a view that suits you more. If you get banners in poster view or vice versa something is wrong with your install and this can't be solved in a skin.
My skins:

Amber
Quartz

For those who were getting the "structure is incorrect" problem on FireTV. You need to rename both the file AND the main folder within.

skin.amber.zip = skin.amber-2.x.x.zip
skin.amber (folder) = skin.amber-2.x.x (folder)

Hi all with install problems.
I am running amazon fire tv and kodi 14.
We're getting all kinds of errors installing
because of file name. My setup would not install with - in the file name.

Renamed file to skin.amber.2.0.2.zip for the 2.0.2 version and all installed perfect.

I have not unzipped an modified folders only filename
please try it
worked for me

"unable to load skin: skin is missing some files"

I've tried versions 1.7.1, 1.7.3, 1.7.4, 2.0.0, and 2.0.1, always getting the same error. So it shouldn't be version related.

Running Kodi on Raspberry Pi.

Noone? :\

Having the same problem, I can see that the skin is being installed as skin.amber-master.

Hello.

Can you can send a copy from kodi.log file to Pastebin
and Post the link here ?

I've installed the master.zip file - how do I know if its really running the latest version? Can I see the version of the skin anywhere?

Under the add-ons menu, add-ons browser, go to the enabled add-on list, then select skins and Amber. That should give you the information screen, which includes the version number.

Best skin available, I too was getting this error too
"unable to load skin: skin is missing some files"
This was due to updating from gotham to kodi and the old amber files still being installed, you need to manually remove the skin amber from /storage/.kodi/addons
restart just to be safe, then reinstall the new version

Have a Fire TV running Kodi 14.0 Does Amber work with it? I tried installing but I get a dependencies error.

Gonna try it on my Pi also, but first have to sort out a more urgent problem with raspbmc Helix freezing up Sad
