v15 pvr-hts-tvheadend and kodi 15
#1
Dear All,

Anyone using the Kodi 15 nightly builds?

I cannot get the tvh addon to work, i can configure and enable the plugin, but trying to go into live tv afterwards, it just tells me live-tv has not started yet.

If i reboot, the addon is disabled again, and the above happens again if i enable it,

(im on Ubuntu 14.04)

Please try the very latest nightlies. There are currently heavy changes and fixes going on in the add-ons and pvr area.

I compiled this pvr.hts addon a while back and it still works in Kodi Isengard Alpha2 on my Ubuntu 12.04 Machine.

Hi Guys,

Many thanks for the replies :

@ksooo , i am using 2:15.0~git20150320.0200-f4a63ef-0trusty which i guess is from today, pvr not working.

@wrxtasy many thanks for posting your compiled addon, however i get "dependancied not met, when i try and install it"

also tried going back to 14.1 , and then installing @wrxtasy addon, this now worked to install, then i held back the kodi-pvr-tvheadend-hts package by using echo "kodi-pvr-tvheadend-hts hold" | sudo dpkg --set-selections

But after upgrading to 15 again, its still the same issue.

Seems even though the nigthly build is at alpha stage, its pretty b0rked.

I also compile my own Kodi15 Alpha2 on Ubuntu before the b0rking started by the looks of it Wink

Exactly what i say.
When i use xmltv.xml as epg source i can supply icon_src, see it as sort off fanart.

xml example:
Code:
</programme>
  <programme start="20150322191500 +0100" stop="20150322200000 +0100" channel="RTL 5">
    <title lang="nl">Foute vrienden</title>
    <desc lang="nl">Programma waarin Klaas van der Eerden, Pepijn Gunneweg, Pim Muda en Albert Jan van Rees in een alledaagse situatie worden gebracht. Via een oortje krijgt een van hen instructies van de anderen wat hij moet zeggen</desc>
    <category lang="nl">Amusement</category>
    <icon src="http://tvgidsassets.nl/upload/f/Foute_Vrienden_1.jpg" />
    <video>
      <quality>HD</quality>
    </video>
  </programme>

I know Simple IPTV supports this but does TVH support it?
In my current tests it doesn't look like it but i'm curious if it should or that i should wait for a updated version?

I can certainely add TV Icon http sources into the TvHeadend Web page configuration for proper display on all connected TvHeadend clients.
Both old versions of the TvHeadend server and new versions.

Find it in TvHeadend Web Page > Configuration > Channel / EPG > User Icon Window Title/Column > Click blank space below this title and enter http icon source.

Individual clients can also have a directory of TV Icons that can be configured in the Live TV Kodi configuration page. The filenames of these icon files need to be an exact match for each TV channel.

I think i wasn't clear enough , I should have added reference pictures in the first place but here goes

http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=...pid1860108

Check the images en EPG image (not channel icon)

I have configured TVHeadedend with a xmltv source that contains EPG/Show images. I see them in XML unfortunately i don't see it in TVH Backend (not sure if i should) and i'm not seeing them in EPG Kodi database.

xbmc.list and upgraded to 15.0b2, but running into the same issue. TVH client does not start, though activted, it's deactivated after reboot. Also tried to reinstall tvh via apt-get, but no success.

I think in the log it complains about wrong version (accidentally deleted the .kodi just reinstalling my 14.2 backup).

Is tvh in the repository just not yet ready for Isengard?

@odoll, have you also upgraded/reinstalled pvr.hts? And what version of tvh are you running, as 3.4 (old but stable) will need a new nightly as of today to work properly.

If you have issues, please post a debug log (wiki).
