Thanks @exobuzz! Will you consider adding the streams that @irn|bru provided?

np. There is a ticket open for the new streams already. I will look into it when I have the time.

Same. The xunity iplayer addon also has the same problem with its built-in proxy.

Edit: The iPlayer website itself has the same problem while using a proxy.

No, that doesn't work for me either.

Where do I find the error logs? Thanks

I think I found the log, but not sure where to post it (can't see it on the link on the first post).

Looks like this is the bit that relates to iPlayer not working (at the time I tried it I'm streaming BBC News on my iPad fine);

SD streams seem to be working for Akamai now (using UnoTelly), still fail for LimeLight however...

Has anyone else has this issue where by I am Watching something on iplayer and mid way through it just freezes.

I know it's not my Internet connection as I have zen fibre 75Mbps from which I get 74Mbps and there are no bottle necks in the system.

Is there a port I need to forward for it to work smoothly?

Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks

You might have the fastest internet connection in the world but if you have bottlenecks in your home network or the BBC's servers are on a go slow it will make no difference. I have 76Mbps fibre and yet the fastest download I get get from the BBC is 1.26MBps.

How you testing your download from the BBC?

The thing is I also have the iplayer on my tv and roku player which both work fine but I want to use an all I one device.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Do all these devices use different servers?

Thanks for you feedback.

I use a desktop addon in Linux called Conky. Amongst other things it can show me the download speed I am getting at any given time.

I suspect it is because the BBC has removed the data feeds used by the plugin for TV catch-up listings:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/internet/entr...219b2c877b

All the feed URLs are returning 403 responses with HTML content, which probably breaks the plugin's parsing. There is a tiny possibility the feeds are temporarily broken, but it seems more likely - given the blog post - that they have been torched.

Apologies for my poor etiquette, I have uploaded a debug log to http://paste.ubuntu.com/11521678/

I get a script error when trying to play TV or radio, live or catchup - all are shown in the log. Let me know if a component log would help.
