This is about where my troubleshooting ability ends.

Youtube version 5.1.6 on Kodi 14.2, running on an old but fully updated XBMCbuntu box.

Debug log here.

Remove the cache.sqlite file under the user_addon folder for YouTube. It's corrupted, did you KODI crashed before? Also you should remove the banned add-ons (wiki) Wink maybe one of them caused the crash.

That worked perfectly, thank you! And hah, I probably should anyway, I basically never use most of them.
The YouTube add-on (I'm using version 5.1.5 by bromix, on Kodi14.2/OpenElec 5.0.8) has stopped working as it used to on my system. I'm signed-in to my YouTube account (or was, and still should be)

Searching for, and playing, videos on YouTube works OK.

Clicking "Popular right now" or Subscriptions" now gives the following error:

Quote:Exception in ContentProvider
Unknown kind"

I've tried signing-out, but that gives an error message in the top-left of Kodi

Quote:YouTube
Login Failed

I've tried uninstalling the add-on but it won't let me, saying that it is used by some other add-ons and "This add-on cannot be uninstalled". The same when I try to disable it.

Any idea what I did that screwed up the use of the YouTube addon? I use it a lot, and am missing being able to see my search history and my subscriptions.
Main TV: LibreELEC 7.0.1 / Kodi 16.1, with Xonfluence skin on Asus Chromebox (1.4GHz, 4Gb RAM, 64Gb SSD) + DVB-S and DVB-T with TVH.
Plus testing v17 nighlies on Macbook, and using Estuary skin.

You have to update to version 5.1.6 at least...the old API key is disabled, I had to move on Wink

Thanks, I'd checked to update the add-on before posting - I clicked "check for updates" and nothing happened.

Have you disabled updates for this addon ? http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on_manager#Updating
Because I'm looking at it right now Wink http://addons.kodi.tv/show/plugin.video.youtube/

I have an issue with the addon (5.1.6 on OpenElec Helix) when i try to browse my playlists :

"The parameter uses the code mine but it is not properly entered"

What can i do ?

Thanks
Sign out and sign in again. Probably the user token is wrong. I changed the API key a while back.

Hi,
It works after deleting the user data addon folder.
Thanks Smile

Thanks. Yes auto-updates was turned ON and it didn't update, BUT having read the wiki I see I didn't have your repository installed. I just installed your respository and it successfully auto-updated to 5.1.7~beta1 :-) (not sure I want to be on a beta, but that's what it auto-updated to).

However all the errors I reported above are still present :-(

Please connect your G+ account with YouTube (if not done already), also you should try to fix some of the other errors....something with Tvheadend isn't working and throwing a lot of errors. Also you should uninstall the banned add-ons (wiki) because I don't know the side effect these addons can cause, but I don't care next time, because it's illegal.
Bromix,
I'm having issues with the playlists. When I try to open the playlists, I get a popup error - "Youtube Channel not found."

Looking through the log, the following appears to be the associated debug messages:

Thanks in advanced for the help, and for the work on this plugin!

Did you sign out and sign in again? I had to change the API key some time back. It's possible you have an old user token. Also try to delete the user_data addon folder for YouTube, so no old data could be the cause of this problem.

I haven't signed out and back in. One of the devices that I'm noticing the issue on was just set up about 4 days ago. I'll try those 2 things and let you know what happens.

My YouTube account was already linked to my gmail account. Thanks for the info about Tvheadend - I'll follow that up later.

The other add-ons have been uninstalled, and the problem stlll persists. Would you mind taking a look at a new log? https://db.tt/hLaOmKfZ Thanks
