Hello,
I just upgraded to Isengard (kodi 15.0) today, and am no longer able to hear the audio in some videos (mpga / mpeg, as one example).
I can hear the audio in videos using AC3, and all my MP3 music works fine.
I am running on ubuntu 14.04, in the kodi environment (rather than desktop/gnome)
The hardware is current and well spec'd. (see the pastebin log for full specs)
Audio previously had been working today, prior to the upgrade.
I believe I had a similar problem in the past, but am unable to recreate what I thought was the solution. Frustratingly, with each upgrade of xbmc/kodi, my configurations get lost (audio settings, remote control mappings / keyboard.xml) abd I have to re-do them.
I have set the audio driver to the correct option (s/pdf) which sends my audio out via optical connection to my yamaha receiver that can do dolby, dolby pro logic, pcm, dts, etc.
I have tried going into the pulse audio settings and enabling the varoius formats (as per the wiki guides), going back into kodi and finding that passthrough was now visible while in expert mode. I tried passthrough in all the various combinations (starting with the one I thought most likely), but didn't have any luck with any of them. I tried turning off all the hardware decoding from the video menu, also to no benefit.
I logged the audio component, and found what may be the problem, somewhere between lines 134 and 173

Any ideas or suggestions on how to proceed?
Thanks!
