guys i really want to fix all these things, but only to be able to reproduce i have to employs alot of time just to understain how the addons works etc etc, anyway i will try to see

Yes! You are awesome. Smile

I personally would not really worry about the loss of EVR. dvdplayer with DXVA renderer has all features and better PQ in my opinion (EVR-CP chroma scaling has some truly ugly artifacts sometimes and also the image scaling algorithms are pretty outdated by today's standards).

The true value of dsplayer is madVR support and it is very good to see your work alive after DX11 upgrade. Smile
I think the same way about everything you said, but DSPlayer that's a Direct Show Player For Kodi it's supposed to be more opened to everything related to the Direct Show Filters, now instead it will works only with madVR

my dream initially was to have the same possibility of mpc-hc in Kodi without to loose the original Kodi experience

you can have all without have to configure anything in a desktop, only you, your tv and your remote, so why i added the menu to configure the rules, filters, dvdplayer merits and also all madVR settings

but a perfect fusion of mpc-hc and kodi it's impossible without work on this 24h/24

it will remain a dream Smile

The Warner306 tutorial is great! Amazing job, man!
But as English is not my main language like a lot of people.
I think you should create a complete installer like kcp.
It will make your project more accessible for new users.

You should add pictures and videos in the first post too. Wink

And maybe create a beautiful github page. Tongue

I think a lot of people will enjoy kodi dsplayer. But don't know that exists. Wink

I can't wait to try the Jarvis release.

I'm so impatient. Big Grin

Thanks for fixing the subtitles plugin. Much appreciated.

As far as the delay adjustments to subs, I confirm: it was MY problem. Your remarks prompted me to double check what was happening with EventGhost and, apparently, there's some conflict when using modifiers such as CTRL+key or CTRL+SHIFT+key. I reverted to single keys with no modifiers and all works perfectly. Sorry for the time I made you lose for this.

I still have the very peculiar audio delay that gets adjusted by exactly one millisecond less than what's in advancedsettings.xml. If you check the logs I posted, I have 225ms delay for 23.976Hz material, that actually is registered correctly in the log and it shows it being applied. But if I open LAV Audio, I see the delay set at 224ms. Can you reproduce? (Clearly it's just cosmetics, no human being can detect the difference between 224 and 225 milliseconds...).
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first (usually it's enough to follow instructions in the second post).

Is anyone able to get Airplay working with this Kodi branch? At this point, I don't particularly care whether the Airplayed videos would be in DSPlayer or DVDPlayer. I would just like to be able to send Youtube videos from my iOS devices to Kodi.

No worry for me. I was just pointing it out because, in the long run, if it's a cosmetic thing (fixable), it might be worth it to fix it just to avoid other people reporting it as a bug. One millisecond is perceptually irrelevant, totally so.

aracnoz I was just wondering. I noticed that there is a Kodi DirectX 11 Project going on as well as yours. I also heard of a x64 bit version of Kodi project too. Are there any talks or plans to merge your DSPlayer project into the DirectX 11 build or the others? BTW, I love your work on this DSPlayer build!!!!! Thanks so much!

I'm having an issue with embedded subtitles in DSPlayer. Mostly I have to download external ones from Opensubtitles because when I go to select the embedded ones (and I can see there often are several in the menu) they do not show on playback. What is the reason for this, I feel like I've had this issue before on and off? I believe this doesn't happen with vanilla Kodi, only with DSPlayer.

Yeah, I'm having a huge issue with going online with this fork. Can't use Kodi's official addon repository (just says "Couldn't connect to the network server") nor can I install fusion on it. Any way to fix my issue?

Are you sure your filter configuration is using XYSubsFilter and that the 32bit version of that is installed correctly? I was having problems with subs for weeks. I then realised that the starter kit files mistakingly did not have XYSubsFilter set by default for mkvs and the like. The starter kit files have been fixed now but if you are using old ones that may be the issue.

I had same problem with some files with internal Vobsub / PGS subtitles. Internal text subtitles is usually fine. Switch to XyVSfilter and the problems went away. So you might try that as well.

On my system & some files xySubfilter was the culprit.
