I wonder if you can operate SmoothVideo Project with DSPlayer.

Thank you

You can. Read this thread , there was a lot of discussion & howto.

I can not find the post where we talk about how to make it work with DSPlayer, it takes a long time to read all 100 pages of thread.

Thank you

In short, set your svp properly with MPC (I won't ger into how to setup SVP), then just add FFDshow Raw as extra filter. SVP will process like on MPC.

When you launch the file KODI crashes, wrong chain of filters?

aracnoz, does your version of DSPlayer still allow for rules in mediasconfig.xml?

I tried using
Code:
rule filetypes="mkv|avi|divx|ogm|mp4|mov|m4v|flv|m2v|mpeg|mpg|vob|mts|m2ts|ts|bdmv">
            <source filter="lavsource" />
            <splitter filter="lavsplitter" />
            <video filter="lavvideo" />
            <audio filter="lavaudio" />
            <subs videoresolution="480|540|720" filter="xysubfilter" />
            <subs filter="directvobsub_(auto-loading_version)" />
            </rule>

hoping to use VSFilter only for 1080p files (the grand majority of 2:35 and 1:85 files I have), while using xySubfilter for lower resolution files, to take advantage of its hi res subs... but it doesn't work. And in the GUI I don't see the above rule anywhere. As you see it above, xySubfilter is always used, if I invert the two lines, xyVSFilter is always used.

Does your DSPlayer works properly without FFDShow RAW?

Does your DSPlayer works properly without FFDShow RAW?

first thing i notice, is using internal filters. maybe that's what it is? possibly try the guide and setup external filters and add ffdshow raw as extra filter. links to the guide are on the first page.

Internal filters can be used with SVP. It even works with Internal filters oprion + manually add only FFDShow RAW as extra filter. That's why I asked if DSPlayer worked properly without FFDShow RAW added to filters chain. It couild crash due to other things beside SVP. Get the basic working first is priority.

Has anyone got DSPlayer livetv with tvheadend on linux working?
If yes, what format is configured in tvheadend?
There are a lot of possible options in tvheadend and I'm loathed to try them all only to find it can't be made to work.

Download: Isengard DSPlayer 15.2 RC1 EXE 08 September 2015 UPDATE1 (PVR Test version)

Isengard DSPlayer 15.2 RC1 08 September 2015 UPDATE1:
  • Fixed MediaPortal "RTSP to UNC" conversion function.

New features for MediaPortal TV-Server and ArgusTV backends:
  • Live TV fast channel switching (don't stop timeshift)
    Don't stop an existing timeshift session when switching to a new channel. This makes channel switching faster.
    Regular channel switching will be used in cases of changing of stream url(SD<->HD channel switching or switching to channels with different audio/video streams)
  • Use UNC(=SMB) paths for Live TV
    UNC is faster with channel switching and video seeking.

ArgusTV Kodi Addon settings:
  • Set "Delay after tuning" greater then zero.

MediaPortal TV-Server Kodi Addon settings:
  • Set "Streaming method" to "ffmpeg".
  • Enable "Convert hostname to IP-address".

Enabling "Live TV fast channel switching"
advancedsettings.xml:
Code:
<advancedsettings>
  <dsplayer>
    <fastchannelswitching>true</fastchannelswitching>
  </dsplayer>
</advancedsettings>

Enabling "UNC(=SMB) paths for Live TV":
MediaPortal users have to use modified dll for MediaPortal TVServerXBMC Plugin v1.10.0.128
Copy this file to "Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\Plugins\TVServerKodi.dll"
I have created a pull request (not merged yet)

advancedsettings.xml:
Code:
<advancedsettings>
  <dsplayer>
    <useuncpathsforlivetv>true</useuncpathsforlivetv>
  </dsplayer>
</advancedsettings>

MediaPortal TsReader Filter for DSPlayer

Please post your feedbacks.

Hi Roma. I have Installed MediaPortal TV Server to try out your plugin. But where do I set:
MediaPortal TV-Server Kodi Addon settings:
Set "Streaming method" to "ffmpeg".
Enable "Convert hostname to IP-address".

I can't find the settings. Have tried both in Kodi addons...MediaPortal pvr Client and in TV Server..Plugins..TVServer Kodi

Update: Nevermind, these settings are something you have doneSmile

06 September 2015 (9c30400)
  • Added the possibility to set up to three "Extra external filter" with the "Internal filters" configuration
  • Added TsReader (Mediaportal File Reader for DSPlayer) as internal filter (this it's also made possible thx to *Roma*)
  • Added the option to save internal DSPlayer madVR settings also for TvShow name
  • Added DSPlayer menu option to set preferred language for external subtitles
  • Added help text for DSPlayer menu options (this it's also made possible thx to Warner306)
  • Added error messages at playstart for Kodi in fullscreen exclusive-mode and unregistered madVR
  • Repositioned on top and Renamed the button to save internal DSPlayer madVR settings
  • Settings "Image Double" and "Deband" used by the KODI GUI now follow the madVR rules of the control panel
  • Fixed an issue with some Intel GPU that was causing the blinking of the Kodi GUI while madVR playback
  • General fixes for the internal LavFilters configuration
  • General improvements for madVR stability
...
Sorry for the trivial matters.
But because developers do not think Kodi implement natively on their versions of all these possibilities to use external codecs to improve the vision of the file?
From what I understand, you are alone to carry on this magnificent project, if one day you decide to leave we should return to the normal version of KODI?

Thank you
