3D Frame-Packing is working.

Other issues:

Audio Dropout

Audio Out Of Sync

PGS Subtitle looks a little blurry

3D image quality need improvement

When playing 3D,Kodi menu is over sized.

3D playback has a thin green line on top edge of the image.

96.0 KHz sound are having playback difficulties.

Do u enable the 23.976 option?If yes,please disable it and try again.

Here is what I found:

Blu-ray 3D iso output is indeed frame packing. I checked it on Epson 5020UBe, Samsung JS8500 and Sony W900, W802A TVs.
Edit: It looks like this is not consistent. See my update 3 posts below.

Now the problems:
1) 3D playback freezes after a few minutes. I checked 3 movies and it happened on all four displays. It didn't matter whether the playback was from local hard disk or NAS.

2) Refresh rate doesn't seem to switch correctly. I have enabled both "Adjust display refresh rate" and "Refresh rate switch". "Allow hardware 23976 optimize RockchipCodec" is also enabled. With 23.976fps content, I could see refresh rate switching, but it is not 23.976Hz, It switches to 24.000Hz (from Lumagen Radiance Video Processor). This was the same for 2D and 3D content.

3) I am still getting no audio (7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio). Just noise. This is with Onkyo TX-NR928 AVR and Sony CT-780 soundbar.

4) As movie78 has mentioned, Kodi menu is all messed up in 3D mode.

I didnt have time to test the 3d framepacking Sad

I did test other stuff :
- still artefacts (come on, get rid of them or the player is useless)
- 3d played in 2d still stops somewhere in middle of movie
- will test the 3d iso tonight for sure
- audio out of sync

the player needs really much improvement

Mirror88 can you have your technical guys serious look at the poor picture quality
Getting macroblocs and artefacts in every picture.....

Oops... that was my mistake. I forgot to enable HDMI passthrough in Android settings. I only changed that setting and now I cannot get frame packing output. It is only SBS now. I am not sure what is going on.

A problem with Q5 was samba or nfs doesn't work because kodi wrapper doesn't support user/password samba shares.

I'd like know if you can playback from kodi using samba user/password protected share folder.

I am testing the 1.0.18 and must confirm the audio problem for mkv DD5.1 is solved but still out of sync!

Mirror88, any idea how it comes there are artefacts/macroblocks in picture?
Is this cause of heating/ chip overclocked?/ or something else?

Hi,
Some good improvements but here are some serious issues that remain:

Color Format
Needs to be selectable to allow for adjustment in each system. It is really hard to nail a perfect format due to differences in equipment in the playback system but having these settable allows finding the best fit for the system using the X6.
Most Blu-ray player have this capability.

Currently you have YCbCr – 4:4:4 pixel Format set as the default not the best. Tends to be too dark. Should be system wide selection, not film by film setting.

1. YCbCr – 4:4:4 pixel Format
2. YCbCr -- 4:2:2 pixel Format
3. RGB – 4:4:4 pixel Format Studio (Limited RGB)
4. RGB -- 4:4:4 pixel Format PC Standard (Full RGB)

Again for US the following need to be available in addition to 30Hz and 60Hz.

USA Television Frame Rates or Refresh Rates are commonly referred to as 30.Hz and 60Hz but they are actually 29.97Hz and 59.94Hz. Using these rate reduce micro-stuttering seen when using 30Hz and 60 Hz which tend to be seen when the video scene Pans from side to side.

Power Standby

Putting X6 into Power Standby at the end of day; will not awake using any button on remote!
Would expect hitting Power Button on remote to bring it out of Sleep.

Must pull power to reboot, to get it back on!

Still 24Hz not 23.976Hz

Sound Passthrough(bitstreaming

Noise is fixed.

Lip Sync or Audio Offset still wrong when viewing Cable TV is about 0.500s ahead using Kodi Audio Settings.

When watching MKV Blu-ray 1080p movies Audio is right on. Good!

When watching a MKV DVD movies Audio is again about 0.500s ahead using Kodi Audio Settings.

All Sound formats, DTS-HD, DD-HD and ATMOS and 5.1 seem to work in passthrough.

There are 2 bugs seriously concerning me:
- artefacts/macroblocks in picture
- 3d iso played as 2d in kodi, stops in middle of movie at some point
