Open hour Chameleon can be updated. New firmware out today. Fixes 23.976 and seems they are doing HD audio inside kodi but with a special rockchip kodi build Atmos is working but a bit unstable at the moment.

So there is no hardware out there beside the Raspberry 2 that can decode 3D MVC.
What about a Graphic Card?

Depending on Android manufacture doesn't seems to be the solution.
The Chromebox is the best Kodi box box i have use so far and i am waiting for a similar hardware.

Just a little rant!!!!

There is a lots of hardware that can do 3d mvc the trick is getting KODI to to 3d MVC on that hardware.

Then it looks like Kodi Dev only care for Raspberry Pi

No - it looks like the makers of the Raspberry Pi care about Kodi... The Pi Foundation have released proper open source support for their MVC decoder so that Kodi can access it in a GPL compliant manner. Other manufacturers appear to be less keen to help.

It does help that some of the Kodi devs know the Pi very well indeed.

And as there is no software decode of MVC in an Open Source project - like ffmpeg - there isn't a software decode option either.

Looks like it.
I have now the Rpi2 3 weeks and Im quite happy with it even though I have some problems with Full 3D.
I had the Q5 but I didnt like the wrapper idea and I had some problems with NFS even though I mounted the network drives.

Code:
The Pi has an MVC capable hardware video decoder, so for now this is Pi only.
Currently ffmpeg won't decode MVC, so there is no open source software solution now (I'm sure it will come some day).

Even OpenElec on x86 cpu cant decode 3D MVC.

Right. You are welcome to name them and point to the dev doc.

Im from Germany and of course Im registred there.
But I used SrciptManager with root to mount drives.

I already sold the Q5 and I dont miss it because I dont need 4K and h265 at the moment and I dont have ATMOS/DTS:X so PCM for DTSHD is enough for me.
With Rpi2 I dont have NFS problems, the HDDs are starting with the start of the Pi, MVC MKV works without problems but I do have issues with Full 3D.
I think it is a problem with handshake and my receiver but I will do some tests today (it is almost 0:30 AM here Wink ) to sort it out.

I mean there is tons of hardware that does MVC but none of them are open for kodi to work with. Was not a jab at kodi or the devs. To bad nothing ever came to life with the Sigma/xbmc partnership announcement from back in 2011

A NUC will play MVC ISO if you use powerDVD or TMT5 and you can use it to play mvc/mkv if you use stereoscopic player. KODI is very dependent on ffmpeg as its playback source and ffmpeg does not have MVC support they have tried to sponsor it a few times and a few WIP's have shown up but nothing operational yet.
