Edit: also a small feature from the original skin is missing here-- when watching internet streams, the seek bar in the osd would show how much was buffered (coloured pink by default). Really useful for web content
Are you using multiple profiles? Each profile should have it's own settings.xml, no idea why it isn't saving the highlight color. If it is a profile issue not much I can do I'm afraid, Kodi handles profiles.

I changed the buffered color to blue. There should be a white marker between where you're currently at and the buffered amount. Do you not see the white marker? Will test when I get a chance.

I've never touched the profiles feature, but others are saying it's a Jarvis issue. How easy would it be for me to change it in the XML directly for the timebeing?

The entire bar is blue (except for a small white bit at the end), and it only represents the current point in the stream. Original A:Z works fine, can be tested easily with Youtube addon.

Will test with YouTube tonight, thanks.

For the highlight color, you can try resetting the colors to defaults. Then open your colors/default.xml and manually change the highlight color to what you want.

It's happening on every machine I try it on. Openelec, Windows, Mac... All same. all latest nightly, all up to date addons.

Can't replicate it here. Post a video if you can, I'm curious to see what it's doing.

This is driving me insane, just uninstalled and deleted everything on my windows machine.
I just now downloaded kodi nightly, skin shortcuts, skin helper and your AZ mod.

installed all, now I get "error" for skin shortcuts and skin helper services... neither of them will load

Can somebody else try this?

Install from within Kodi ("Install from zip") rather than dropping into addons folder

Awesome work on your mod. Ive been creating a "Rightlist" view for Arctic Zephyr.

I see that you added a List View Dialog, could you point out any tips i might need to get this to work with your mod? or say once ive finalised the Rightlist view, would you be happy to add/integrate it into your mod (As im still learning the code/system/layout for Arctic Zephyr)

Won't know if it's something I would use until I see it, but even if I don't add it I'll let you know how to get it to show up in the view dialog.

Ok, got the scripts working fine.

So i've fully uninstalled kodi, deleted everything. Downloaded skin and scripts, installed scripts & skin...
Cutsomize the home menu to show some widgets...

No go, just cannot get this to work. It has to be the skin, i've downloaded the skin on 3 different computers and they all give the same result, so it's not a cache thing.

Here's a video i uploaded to youtube, you can see what i'm experiencing. Same result on Windows, Mac, and all 3 RaspberyPi's ....Sleepy
As you can see, the widgets are refreshing every time i scroll the menu list, even though the widgets are set as identical for videos and movies (never use to happen before)
Also the TV Shows widget is set to "landscape" but does not show the episode thumbnail, it shows the fanart.

Ok, the flicker that you're referring to is different than what I fixed. In fact, what your video shows is a direct result of the fix I made so that the alternate artwork doesn't flicker (the widgets are now hidden when the main menu is updating). Not planning on making any changes here, this is as good as it's going to get I'm afraid. The alternative is to use the classic menu and show widgets on up, you won't notice any transitions in that case.

No idea why episode thumbs don't show up for you, they seem to be for everyone else.

Hello,

braz thanks for your advises last time with the background transparency.
I managed this, but i dont get library fanarts as a general background. the skin give me only one solution and this is to choose an folder.
But my fanarts are in the movie folders. Is it possible that this skin automatically takes the movie and tv show library fanarts and show it as background for all menu points.

This is now my favorite skin!

So i've finally figured it out...

So if i set my widget like this:
Customize Home Menu/Select Widget/Video Library/Recently Added Episodes (which is what i had it set to this whole time)
then set to see landscape i only see the fanart.

if i set my widget like this:
Customize Home Menu/Select Widget/Default Widgets/ ... WAIT WAIT WAIT for it to finally bring up a list, then select "recent episodes"
then set to see landscape, i now see the episode thumbnail...

Anyway to fix this for just basic "video library" type widgets?

Shame about the widgets flashing like that when they're all set the same, it really takes away from how fluent the skin was previously. It just appears buggy when you set everything the same.

Anyways, keep up all the good work!

Cheers,
Loggio.

Glad you figured it out. Strange though, I used the method above. I once tried to use "Default Widgets", but got impatient and forced Kodi to restart because it was taking so long

lol tell me about it, its pretty much useless the fact it takes that long... And the progress bar doesn't move so it just appears frozen.
I normally just make smart playlist and add them as widgets.

I just wish there was one for live tv that shows currently airing shows, or even a mini tv guide or something.

The default widgets are provided by skin.helper.service. I'm not seeing any delays here, the list shows up right away.

I didn't find a good way to set the global fanart. I did add more fanart options to the menu customizer though. You could, for example, set all of your menu items to "All fanart".
