OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0)
(2015-11-16, 00:00)nalor Wrote: I'm trying to play encrypted iso files in 2D (this worked in the past without problems) and 3D if possible.

But just for interest I could really try to play discs also directly from optical drive Wink

Is this currently working on OE 6.0? That does have libaacs.
Is it slower to start playback of encrypted ISOs?
Logically it would make more sense to remove the encryption when ripping the ISO rather than trying to remove it every time you play the ISO (potentially needing decryption support on multiple devices).
I would be interested if you can play straight from an optical BlueRay drive (either locally attached or from a network share). Don't think I've heard of that working (except from a network share from a PC running anydvd or similar to remove the encryption).

Edit: Also, is the "passthrough output device" option enabled in #1115, or does it remain greyed out?
Everything's looking fine, both snd-bcm2835 and the iqaudio card show up and I can select passthrough on a USB card with spdif. Can't test though if passthrough actually works, but I assume it will.

Thanks a lot!

Quick Q- does nightly 1015 use the same video and music library as beta 1?

Thanks HiassofT.

I also have a better explanation of why this only became an issue once we dropped PulseAudio: #4427 (which added the Alsa/Pulse Bridge) reverts the enumeration part of #4411, so dropping #4427 exposed this enumeration issue. Not sure when #4427 will merge but apparently most of #4411 is unnecessary so hopefully that will be fixed first.

I suspect #4427 will still cause passthrough device problems, so that's an issue yet to be fixed. For now I'll continue to revert #4411, and leave out #4427 until there is more progress.

Yes - videodb v99, musicdb v56.

Interesting, now I only need a generic OpenElec. It's nice to have central MySQL database, but having one client on Kodibuntu, one on Windows, one OpenElec and one Raspberry pi makes it a hassle to upgrade Big Grin
CoreElec on a tn95 (s905x). Onkyo NR-656. Canton Movie CD-1000. LG 55B6V.

If it ain't broke: break it, fix it, repeat
Just installed #1115 over #1114 and with this update lost a number of confluence settings i.e. GUI sounds back on and change from UK to US international settings, Live TV missing requiring re-enable of options in settings. Don't know how helpful this log file is, as I created it after a changing settings and doing a reboot to see if the changes were stored? (which seems to be the case)

http://sprunge.us/cBXI

Additionally I have been keeping upto date with the recent TVHeadend backend updates (i.e switched to #1115-milhouse-v4.1-990-g2afa831 from previous #1111b-milhouse-v4.1-960-gbafa612) and noticed with combination of this and this #1115 release, that Kodi does not want to let me use my local tv channel icons. (option greyed out in TV menu / osd setting)

other user settings do not seem to have been modified....

-----edit-----

Apologies, just realised that system had changed interface settings from expert to standard between the #1114 to #1115 so actually TV icon option was still available once switching back to expert (but I needed to re-link to folder where icons were stored etc)

I can confirm with Hifiberry Digi+ that passthrough works on #1115. However I have an issue that AC3 and DTS are not detected on my receiver using SPDIF which worked at least partly on OE 6.0. Means DTS was detected and AC3 not.
ok - here i am ... with #1116: RPi2
____________________________

First RPi2 with Hifiberry-DAC+ :

AudioCD DTS5.1 will work fine , for me is that ok. ;-)
with passtrough there is no sound [?] ...
the same on DD5.1 - the DAC makes his job .[no passtrough].
_____________________________________________________________

Second RPi2 over HDMI and SPDIF(optical) - Audio to Yahama Receiver:

Audio CD DTS5.1 - great Sound with passtrough!
Video, here with an Depech Mode live concert - DD5.1 [AC3) over SPDIF (optical) and passtrough also perfect sound on my Yamaha Receiver.

I think, the people here makes a very good Job

SeeYaah :-)

Edit: @ Ollo -> if i deaktivate passtrough over HDMI / SPDIF the sound is only "Stereo" ...think also normaly.

@ Milhouse: there is a "Buffering", 3 seconds when i'm switching - in older builds i would not notice this ... no prob for me.
1115 worked for my hifiberry. Haven't tried passthrough yet.

If you can identify the first build here that changes the DTS/AC3 SPDIF behaviour, then it will help a lot.

Hi, I still have no sound with 1:1 3d.ISO files.
example: edge of tomorrow, framepacked 3d with DTS-HD MA

older versions (1106 for example) are able to play this image in 2d with sound, but not in 3d...

I'm using multichannel 5.1 PCM decoding to my preamp for all HD audio codecs

Has it always been like this, with 3D? What about the official OpenELEC 6.0 release - sound with 2D and 3D? If you can identify the build when the 3D audio stops, that would be good to know...
