WeTek Core (24p HD Netflix / HD Audio / Lollipop / OpenELEC / 4K / HEVC)
Oki - what about this one: http://mirrors.kodi.tv/test-builds/andro...bi-v7a.apk

just test TrueHD / DTSHD

Kodi has a special AMLCodec implementation which was designed for kodi in year 2k13 or something, it does not match anymore ... so I am not surprised.

Edit: This build works perfectly for me _if_ either AMLCodec is disabled or _b_ Adjust Refreshrate to match video is turned off.

I'm installing the kodi-20160208-76875b1-androidtestv3-armeabi-v7a.apk on my Core now to try it here as well.

i only mentioned because DTS passthrough was fine on recent nightlies before all this hd audio testing.

Recent nightlies use PCM passthrough, by using 16bit format ... let's see what we have in your logfile.

Can you create another log with "Adjust Refreshrate" turned off, please? I will prepare some additional debuglogging in a next build for you.

@dukester: From the log it's perfect - but I think you don't hear anything with DTS, right?

Please give: http://jenkins.kodi.tv/job/Android-ARM/7127/ aka fritsch-androidtestv3-e2dea20 a try - I log out what it wants to open.

What I think that could go wrong is, that your firmware already defines CJNIAudioFormat::ENCODING_DTS but does not work properly.

Thanks: DEBUG: Opening STREAM_TYPE_DTS_512 with encoding: -1

My fallback does not work :-(

Edit: No idea why. Can you please post an AC3 log, too? Which was the last version that worked for you?

i can get by with enabling Dolby transcoding.. i just know you dont want to break other stuff when fixing stuff so i thought i'd chime in to let you know, i can continue testing if you need.

EDIT

yes i'll get a log right now with AC3 then ill have to go back and find a last working DTS build, i've been installing too many trying too many different things on this device. ill provide a log with that too.

Can you please post an AC3 log? And also it would be good to know which version was the last one doing DTS for you? You happen to have a log with this?

i forgot about the AC3 log so i had to reinstall it, here is AC3 and DTS in kodi-20160208-f2f26e6-androidtestv3-armeabi-v7a - AC3 works DTS doesnt

http://xbmclogs.com/povfsv5fs

i went back and the latest nightly doesn't work for DTS and neither does RC3 release.. ill keep testing.. it could have been either a v16 or v17 test release from those threads in the "android" section that did have DTS playback...

stock video player on device outputs DTS 5.1 from both DTS and DTS-HD files
