Kodi Media Player Options with 3D MVC & HD Audio
Q5 check Sicario Bluray ISO. That movie has tons of overhead long pans. The stuttering is very noticeable in the long pans.

hdmkv, are you going to try the new raspberry pi 3?

The above was fine with ISO 3D, although the menus was somewhat slow. Maybe the new raspberry pi 3 to be now, a perfect kodi player!

I hope that the change to 64-bit architecture has not affected its ISO 3D playback functions!

Surely I will buy the new Q5 PRO, but now that has left the raspberry pi 3 is not if wait !!!

Unfortunately the PI 3 will not do Atmos and bitstreaming 7.1 Audio.

You can have full 3D and HD audio without having atmos or 7.1

Because the Pi 2 (and Pi 3) is one of the only platforms with 3D MVC + Frame Packed output, and HD Audio playback (other than Atmos and DTS:x).

The Pi 2 / 3 has lossless decode of DTS-HD and Dolby True HD to PCM 5.1/7.1 - just like many early Blu-ray players (and first gen PS3s) did. The only caveat is that you don't get 192kHz 5.1/7.1 support (as the Pi is limited to 4.0 at 192kHz) - but there are very few 192kHz 5.1 releases (Akira being the most notable).

For the vast majority of releases - which are 5.1/7.1 48kHz 24 bit - the Pi is lossless.

So that's why Full 3D and HD Audio. Which the Pi 2 (and 3) supports.

@noggin,

Ok Point Taken, but you want Atmos once you experienced it :p.
Ordered a Pi3 anyway for "domoticz", will test KODI on it and see if I want to use as an media player it in the living room, no Atmos needed there.

I will, but not feeling any rush to get it. Will wait until there are more distributors w/better combo deals (at least w/new PSU as appears it's needed). Q10 Pro is already very good (in current closed beta-testing), so Q5 Pro should be solid upon release. I have not seen a release date for it yet, but Q10 Pro is in about a month.

Sorry, but HiMedia anything can't be considered "solid" until 29.97/59.94 is fixed.

29.97 videos includes a handful of concert BD's, and U.S. ATSC MPEG2 broadcasts are 29.97, but Q10 can play these. Just not VC-1 as well. WeTek Core suffers from same issue.

I see another 170+ total BD's w/29.97 in AVC/H.264 here.

Just my opinion, but don't think 29.97/59.94 in VC-1/H.264 is a deal-breaker. But, maybe I'm wrong.

Thanks for explaining, Don't think I am using any media with 29.97/59.94 atm.
Can you comment on the Q10 Pro, 3D Subtitle support with 3D ISO, and 3D MVC MKV support?

Haven't checked 3D subs yet, but I'm not the best person to as I didn't have any issues w/forced subs at least in current-gen Q5/Q10. 3D MKV is not supported, but we've requested, and provided samples.
