OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0)
(2016-03-01, 18:47)doldi Wrote: by your leave, Milhouse

why is that disabled? :-)

Because some PR (merged) which improved windoze build stuff completely broke linux cross-compiling of needed libdvd* libs.

@Milhouse I was able to figure this libdvd crap out, but the fixes are for my own buildsystem, not sure if similar tricks can be made for OpenELEC,
if you want details via PM let me know.

I installed the Pi2 build 29Feb on the new raspberry Pi3. I do not see the openelec menu (the one to set the network connections) under system.

Do you please know how to solve this one?

It's all in preparation for Estuary, which will (starting with tonight's build) be the new default Kodi skin.

As a result, Confluence is now in installed from the Kodi repository and the version number has been bumped so that your Kodi will update itself with Confluence from the repository.

The repository version of Confluence is not patched with the OpenELEC button.

Nor will Estuary have an OpenELEC button - you can access the Settings add-on from the Add-on page.

Will PM you with the details tomorrow (today?).
@Milhouse I am currently running OpenELEC 6.0.3 on my RPi2, and I noticed on the first page on this thread that 0301, 01-Mar-2016 now has new default skin Estuary. That's great, thanks so much for this update, I will try this out this week.

Maybe this is a silly question, but I was wondering if for any reason I want to revert back to OpenELEC 6.0.3, can I just put the 'OpenELEC-Generic.x86_64-6.0.3.tar' file in the updates folder like you do for an upgrade or do I need to do a fresh install?

I also was wondering is there any way to get OpenELEC 7.0 Kodi 17.0 for generic builds, i.e. x86 (Intel/AMD) CPU systems. I have OpenELEC running on a Media PC and also on a USB stick and would like to upagrade these to Kodi 17.0 as well. I appologise, I realise this is not the correct thread for this question.

You can downgrade using just the tar file, but since #0301 you'll also need to delete /storage/.kodi/addons/skin.confluence when downgrading back to OE6.

just loaded the #301 build - noticed a few challenges with the skin when using an MCE remote exclusively (some widgets cannot be reached..) but the killer for me is that rendering the EPG (coming from a WMC backend) is extremely slow and browsing the EPG causes the Pi2 to hang altogether. Went back to latest Jarvis test build and all is good again...

keep up the good works!!

Thnx

Thanks for your advice, I'm glad I asked now that I realise I need to delete this file when downgrading. Hopefully I won't need to but it's good to have a plan B Big Grin

Again, thanks for above link to OpenELEC Testbuilds for x86 (Kodi 17), I didn't know that existed. You certainly have a lot of builds going on. Your help is much appreciated.
since some weeks the tvheadend epg data is lost after reboot
tvheadend settings, kodi settings wrong?

You don't say what version of tvheadend you're using, but I provide the latest version here

You could also go back through the OpenELEC builds to try and determine the build when the problem started.

It might also be a tvheadend issue - have you tried asking in their support section?

Latest upgrade seems to have become an issue even opening quite a few addons. I suspect it is skin related although the new skin looks nice. I will more than likely go back to build 229 until I see more reports on the new build. Thanks for the work.

Just switch back to Confluence, you should have it installed already in /storage/.kodi/addons (v3.0.0, from the official Kodi repository). The only noticeable difference is likely to be the missing OpenELEC button.

Thanks for the fix. I tried the build today:
Kodi does not crash anymore, but there is neither video nor sound.

Is there a Kodi v17 compatible Keymap_Editor - Add-on ?
http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:Keymap_Editor

I installed the addon from repo via your latest build #0301.
But when i try to change a key, the addon crashes.
Do you need debug logs?
