OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0)
@SpokV which TV backend do you use?
(2016-03-12, 23:09)SpokV Wrote: Hi All
I just bought a rpi 3 and loaded the #311 build. when streaming live tv hd channels i get buffering every few seconds. i bought the mpeg 2 license (which im not sure if used for hd content).
I've set the advancedsettings as recommended with 0 cache...
I thought of overclocking the device but try to solve the issue on standard configuration.
Do anyone have an idea?

Same here with 1080i live tv channels and some black screen issue from Tvheadend
Will post some logs tomorrow

Not sure that PR50 was really merged in...

Are you using pvr.hts as that had a bump and comments that suggest it's pretty broken...
hy, someone can test on rpi 3 bluetooth to connect headset ? thanks
A continuation of my hissing sound issues with Kodi and the Rasp Pi....

It seems that the issue is the same as the one noted in this threads when using OSMC....

https://discourse.osmc.tv/t/external-usb...ound/532/3

The above does seem to offer solutions but they are beyond my capabilities.

So whilst I have not experienced it when running OE 6.0.3 as yet I have tried OSMC (based on Kodi 16) and that also is very problematic with the sound distortion.

The combination of the USB sound stick with SPDIF enabled and Kodi 16 or 17 with the Pi is proving to be problematic.

Have you tried setting resample quality away from GPU (e.g. to medium)?
(2016-03-12, 19:49)herrmeier01 Wrote: The "OpenELEC Add-ons" repository doesn't work when doing a clean install.
Is there a way to manually access this repository?

Can you be more specific when you say it's broken? Do you get an error, or is it just empty? If it's empty have you forced a refresh?

Hmmm... Github API seems a little confused - looks like it was actually this PR:50 from garbears repository.

It is set to medium.

OSMC seems to be distorted very often.

These Kodi 17 test builds are distorted on occasion, noted more when browsing jpgs, not sure if when load is placed on system or due to audio stop, start pauses.

On 6.0.3 with Kodi 15.2 send to have been ok.
(2016-03-11, 23:41)Milhouse Wrote: As far as these builds are concerned Confluence is now a "third-party" skin, just like Aeon Nox. You'll need to post in the Confluence support forum if you have Confluence problems. There are no plans to include any further Confluence changes in these builds.

Milhouse, thanks for replay and clearing this up for me. With sadness I let go off the Confluence ;(
Confluence even with latest updates release 6.0.4 Revamp'ed themes for Kodi v17 Krypton would not activate audio video buttons on player screen.

I moved on then and now I'm happy Estuary user with your latest #0311 build. I had some issues with couple of 3D ISO files not playing at the earlier stage of player 8.0 (beginning of March) but with the latest updates it is much better now. I'll keep on testing and let you know if I find something serious. I general it looks like the update to 8.0 and Estuary skin increased CPU usage and it is on the border line with 3D ISO files.

One quick question if you guys don`t mind. Maybe this is not the correct thread but I`ll ask anyway Wink I already searched the net and couldn't find the answer.
How to select add-ons for the home screen? Where do you pick add-ons and how do you control order of add-on tiles shown on the home screen in Estuary skin?

Thanks a lot.

An Estuary thread would be the correct place to ask but as far as I know it's not supported.

Have you tried disabled the hardware JPG option in settings?

I can confirm... Fresh install on 3 raspberrypi 2's all say "could not connect to repository." When trying to access openelec repo.
