SPMC (Kodi spinoff) - v16
#61
Thank you for not giving up on Kodi completely.

SPMC will be my default on the FireTV/ FireTV Sticks I have once again, however for my Wetek Core - any advantage of SPMC over their Wetek Media Player (their rebranded Kodi)?

Probably not. HD audio passthrough is there, but there might be other Wetek-specific tweaks, I didn't follow...

There's a way to disable pressing twice to minimize? If not please add as an option. Thank you

Do you have lip sync issues with hd audio ?
I personally have to press 7 times on the left for the audio offset for truehd, Dts hd ma and such
Ac3 and Dts are ok though

No Lyp Sync issues here on any Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD MA track, i set the auto refresh rate to on start stop instead of Always which seems to help my system

Hi Koying,

Could I just check...I am trying to backup my copy of SPMC using adbFire but its telling me the Kodi root files are not on the sdcard, can you tell me where they are located?

I use auto refresh rate too
I imported my settings from kodi so I don't know if it could have messed it up

Does this version play MVC 3D via software decoding or is 3D playback still reliant on nvidia providing an update?

I'm seeing this as well. All works except that for TrueHD only, I have to adjust the sync as well.

Thank you Koying for starting this project, I can not wait to see what you get out of the Shield TV Smile

So far, so good. Install on the shield went without problems, was able to import everything through the backup addon.

A nicer looking app icon would be cool I understand the priorities are different for now.

I have a Shield tv but don't understand how to install this?

Go to google play store on the shield and install following apps first: sideload manager and es file explorer

Then download the apk for SPMC (put it on usb if downloaded on PC)

After that, open sideload manager, within that open es file explorer, go to where you have the apk and install. After that you will be fine.
#74
Sorry, I should have asked where the apk file is? I am using the chrome browser on the Shield
