I have a Amazon fire stick. All installed good through adbfire but on PVR live TV I am buffering on HD stations. I was wondering what the directory is to put advancedsettings.xml.

On Kodi 15,2 I had the following which worked well for buffering. I suffered stuttering which is not happening with SBMC so I am hoping to get this fixed.

<?xml version="1.0"?>
-<advancedsettings>
-<network>
<buffermode>1</buffermode>
<cachemembuffersize>157286400</cachemembuffersize>
<readbufferfactor>20</readbufferfactor>
</network>
-<pvr>
<cacheindvdplayer>true</cacheindvdplayer>
<minvideocachelevel>65</minvideocachelevel>
<minaudiocachelevel>65</minaudiocachelevel>
</pvr>
</advancedsettings>

After that, open sideload manager, within that open es file explorer, go to where you have the apk and install. After that you will be fine.

I am going to come across like I have shares in this app as I keep recommending it (actually that makes no sense as it’s free), however, please move on from ES and try X-Plore, far easier to use, and no sideloading - https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...lore&hl=en

Probably not. HD audio passthrough is there, but there might be other Wetek-specific tweaks, I didn't follow...
There are WeTek specific tweaks for HD Audio on the S812-H Core and others specific tweaks SPMC will not have, stick with the WeTek mediaplayer unless you want to experiment with Koying's 3D MVC. Better still install both.

@Koying, testing on the S905 Odroid C2 with OTA broadcast TV. 25/50fps mpeg2 576i content resulted in ff-mpeg2 software decoding and crappy deinterlacing due to amcodec being disabled.
mediacodec does not hardware decode mpeg2/h264 interlaced content either. Sound familiar ?

Mmm... Why is amcodec disabled? Is it an issue with the build?

You are genius! This fixed my stuttering DAB issue! I maybe will tweak these values a bit. The buffersize seems a bit huge to me.

Could I just check...I am trying to backup my copy of SPMC using adbFire but its telling me the Kodi root files are not on the sdcard, can you tell me where they are located?

Sorted now, It was because This version has a new package name Big Grin
#83
As a 4k FireTV user is it best to run this in place of the Android pass-through test thread Experimental Kodi version?
#84
Hi Koying,

Great build, installed it last night and working like a dream.
Just a couple of questions if you don't mind..

Is there any way to stop the 'press back to minimize'? My missus just keeps pressing back, back, back, back and ends up exiting the app.

Also will full 3D framepacked be supported on the Shield? I have some .iso's to test but they never come out in 3D.

Again great build, many thanks!

In this thread is the howto to move kodi to an external USB drive on firetv : http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=259327

I did this for kodi and it was fine so far - but I couldn´t get the same managed to move SPMC to the external drive also

The problem was - as far as I remember - the value for : xbmc_env.properties

So - is it possible to move both KODI and SMPC to the USB Stick on my firetv (1stGeneration, FW 5.05, no root) ?

What do I have to do ?

Same, just that the SPMC directory is ".spmc" and not ".kodi"
#87
hmm - but that didn´t work for me

first I installed kodi and moved it to usb drive as described in the thread above

Then I installed spmc

xbmc_env.properties says : xbmc.data=/storage/usbdisk/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/

Then I copied Spmc to usb drive :

/storage/usbdisk/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/

.kodi
.smb
.spmc

but if I started SPMC it was always a blank first start and did not use the directory from the usbdrive

I think I am doing something wrong..

org.xbmc.kodi => com.semperpax.spmc16

@Koying - I have some audio sync issues on Rockchip device (Zidoo X6). Audio is always delayed 0.25s. Can you look at this? Is it any known problem?

The install of SPMC 16.1.1 has been a breath of fresh air for my Nvidia Shield.

I have been trawling for months on the KODI and Nvidia forums for resolutions to the PVR addon (Live TV) playback being incredibly jerky on both KODI 15 & 16. I was also suffering from bad screen tearing, even after updating the advanced xml.

No issues on SPMC, and playback on PVR is incredibly smooth. Thanks Koying.
