OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0)

Can you check if it works with omxplayer enabled/disabled?

Yep - seems you are right..

To an extend... But could do more (with logging)... But find it so odd that I am not able to find a reason from reading the logs...
Will try an "all clean", and test...

Just tested with renamed .kodi - I enabled ssh, samba and tvheadend - rebooted and waited 1 hour....

And the result is the same! Kodi util goes up from 2-3% to fluctuating btw. 5% and 30%+ (I suspect it will increase further with time)...Not a single extra add-on installed....

Are nobody else seeing this?? Perhaps not as grave as me, but some increase in cpu utilization after 1 hour?? One diffs. compared to what you have is perhaps running on RPI2 and from an USB drive (that is faster than ANY SD I have ever tested).. And using LibCEC..

Would like to see bcmstat.sh px from others, after 1 hour...

Could you try again without tvheadend?

Same result - 1 hour in idle, and the same picture....

And a strange experience: I moved .kode and rebooted, then I made the install through the short guide. I selected Samba and SSH - but that did not stick, and I had to use the "Libreelec" menu to enable those - perhaps something to look in toHuh

But the real strange thing - after I removed this .kodi folder, and moved the old .kodi back I had most of my settings intact. But only MOST of them. My sound (7.1 channels) settings where gone, also CEC settings, playback acceleration and weather... But it seems everything else is in place, including screen calibration etc...(or perhaps not - I think I have 1:1 and therefore no calibration).. But language (or perhaps that came from setting it during the guide after the first removal)...
(UPD: Seems services where also reset back to defaults - I had disabled airplay, avahi etc. earlier - and they where also reenabled..)

Is something stored outside of .kodiHuh??

This is not the biggest issue - the biggest one is still this "1 hour problem".....

Which "short guide"? Edit: Presumably you mean the "First Run Wizard"?

If you are using my LibreELEC builds and having problems it would be best not to report them here as this is the OpenELEC thread. The LibreELEC builds should still be considered experimental and are (for now) unsupported which is why I'm not yet documenting them with their own thread, although they should - in general - work to the same standard as these OpenELEC builds. I appreciate you using them, but I'm not yet in a position to support them so please continue reporting issues only about the OpenELEC builds in this thread.

No, Kodi settings are all stored within .kodi. The only settings outside of .kodi are OpenELEC settings (eg. network config, ssh, samba etc.)

I tested this yesterday (for the purpose of correcting audio delay when using bluetooth headphones) and I can confirm this behavior 100%.
Kind regards, Frank

Yes indeed - the "First Run Wizard"... But my point was, that it was perhaps a small bug that enabling SSH and Samba in the wizard did not stick... Just FYI..

This problem startet when I was still on OpenELEC... Your version 3xx (believe all the way back from 319, perhaps even sooner)

No, Kodi settings are all stored within .kodi. The only settings outside of .kodi are OpenELEC settings (eg. network config, ssh, samba etc.)

Can you explain how I then can restore my .kodi, have all my add-ons etc., but the config reset to default... Quite strange.. HuhHuh
Hopefully someone can help with this one. I am using TVHeadend as a backend for my Live TV. I have one RPi1 providing this service. The TV signal is fed to the Pi using a HDHomeRun device (should be evident from the logs provided). This RPi1 is running OpenELEC 6.0.3 and the tvheadend addon service from the unofficial repository (build according to the TVHeadend config page is 4.0.8 ~ OpenELEC Tvh-addon v6.0.4)

I use the pvr.hts addon on RPi2 devices around the house to be able to watch TV. I have noticed that on occasion, whilst watching Freeview HD channels, that audio seems to drop. I've managed to capture a log of this scenario and am just wondering if this is the fault of the backend, a problem with pvr.hts or maybe even a problem with decoding the streams.

I currently use build #0406 and an in anticipation of this happening again I turned on debugging (including the video component - well I hope I did as I did it from the advancedsettings.xml so as not to get the overlay text on screen).

Kodi Log: http://sprunge.us/aBiD
TVHeadend Log: http://sprunge.us/AASY

The loss of audio seemed to happen at around 15:35:20 but I have provided full logs just in case there is a cumulative problem that may have caused it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
