Kodi Media Player Options with 3D MVC & HD Audio

Half SBS should be no issue w/practically any media player or HTPC. Just try a simple thing... rename your file The Martian (2015).SBS.mkv.

i notice also in some movies, that if i start a 3D movie (MKV), 3D option doesn´t detect it as a 3D movie, and doesn´t show up

the image just stays side by side.....

the only way that i could fix this, was going to System/ enabling 3D - Hardware Based (flickers the screen on Kodi environment), then play the movie (Shows up Side By Side), then choose again on the 3D options of the movie (Hardware Based)
It stopped flickering, and seems fine, but i have to do this to all movies.........

Not really, lets start from the top.

Your having issues with your display not switching to 3D when your playing hSBS 3D mkv Files, correct?

When you get your SBS image playing in 2D, what happens to the Kodi GUI?
Main System - HTPC - Intel I3 6300 - Asrock z170 - 16 GB DDR4 - 128gb SSD - 65" UHD HDR Sony Android TV - Pioneer VSX 1130-K - 7.2.2 speakers
Other devices currently in use - 55" 3D UHD LG TV - 2 Fire TV's - Nexus Player - MiniMX s905 - Voyo Vmac Mini
Ubuntu Server - 12 TB NAS - MYSQL - Torrent Box

Kodi GUI?

If i play in 2D, everything is normal

The 3D option doesn´t appear on Kodi Player, only in some MKV files, i don´t know why....in other versions, it detected immediately....but now, if he detects it, just put it "as same as movie", and doesn´t turn 3D on, instead just stays side by side....

im far from an expert but in my experience

If the kodi menus and OSD go into a SBS mode when you start playback then Kodi is detecting that its a 3D movie.

If the Kodi OSD or GUI doesnt go into a SBS mode like the video your trying to playback then you have your file naming incorrect.

Keep in mind there is no difference from a standard mkv and a 3D sbs mkv file, file naming triggers 3D mode in this case afaik

Think it's a file-naming issue as well as mentioned before. After naming properly, try going into Videos, then browse to share/location and to actual video file and play from there.

I don´t think it´s because of the name, i never had problems with the files names, as i mention above, in previous versions i had no problems at all.

It´s been a long time since i didn´t saw 3D movies, since version 14 maybe 15

But i put the name like this now The.Martian.2015.1080p.3D.BluRay.Half-SBS.mkv.mkv and the result is same:

and as you can see, 3D mode enables, but the screen stays always side by side, no matter what i do, except the method that i mention above, witch is a headache if i have to that to all movies

do you please have any other suggestions my friends?

Thank you very much for your kind support and attention

Hmm, in your first screenshot, I can faintly see Kodi message there that shows "Stereoscopic 3D mode. Side by side" ... odd, as should be combined 3D picture. I'd still try renaming to just The Martian (2015).3D.SBS.mkv and see what happens.
