Hi,
I just downloaded the latest release of Kodi (16.1 Jarvis at the time of writing), it comes with Python 2.7.8.
This version of Python doesn't support SNI for HTTPS requests which means that many sites cannot be accessed (for reference, see http://urllib3.readthedocs.io/en/latest/...ingwarning ).
Is it in the plans to upgrade the embedded Python soon? Otherwise, would you consider it?
This is a minor version change so it should be a drop-in replacement. In fact I just dropped in 2.7.11 in my local instance and it all seems to work fine, haven't found any issues so far.
Thanks
