v17 LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0)
(2016-05-12, 21:45)MONSTA Wrote: OK. I got it. Probably I just will stay on the last working build Smile. A simple videoplayer it's not enough for me.
One more question. Are there any plans to add a web browser to the LE?
Thanks

Chromium should already be available for x86. Don't think there's anything planned for ARM.

I can not make AdvancedLauncher work in LE8, when launching standalone apps it works ok, but when I try to launch emulator roms it says:

Code:
08:12:19 1037.672363 T:1963061248   ERROR: GetDirectory - Error getting plugin://plugin.program.advanced.launcher/?6fcc712347b54316490ac66e4aefae80%2F56578e4be48cfcd5c818d29f10d99c1d

it must be something related with kodi17/LE8 because in LE7 it works flawlesly...

EDIT: the error is when I enter the second level list, the rom list. Then it gives me the error, before trying to launch the rom.
I had a crash while testing build 511. Unfortunately debug wasn't on kodi_crashlog_20160512180925.log

Sorry its a little late (paste: This application is temporarily over its serving quota. Please try again later.)

Edit: Probably unrelated to the crash, but the last video I tested was downloaded from here Kodi Animation thread Post: #398

Its 25fps and skips frames constantly until just before then end when Kodi decides to change playback to 50fps.
Just installer build 512 and for the first time I tried to rename a video file file within my library. Each time it would cause Kodi to reboot. It seems to get as far as load up the virtual keyboard and after a few key presses it will then crash.

Instead of doing it through Kodi I just did wha tI would normally do and rename it directly on the media server.

Debugging enabled and logfile....

Know i recognize, that the memory consumption of process kodi.bin is growing continuously.

Is this a memory leak of kodi itself or maybe of tvheadend addon too?

FYI: the memory leak seems to be fixed with #0512...
Thanks @all!

Hi, this is my first post here, so be gentle Smile

Yesterday I installed LE7.0 on my RPi3 and upgraded it to your #0512 version for RPI2. Since everything worked well, today I upgraded to #0513 version. All went well, but I noticed something odd when I wanted to make some changes to my config.txt:

My Fat32 partition on SD card is populated with 72 new files, besides the files that normally reside there. The files are FSCK0000.REC - FSCK0071.REC (all 8.192 bytes exept one 49.152 bytes)

Is that normal, or is this result of some glitch that happened during the update?
Should I keep them, or can I delete all of them?
What YouTube add-on works with this version of LibreELEC? None of the ones I have work and I can't seem to find it in any repositories.

Thanks! - Darren
Hi. I have a problem with audio stream recognition. I have a live stream which I play on jarvis 16.1 and I have the ability to choose between audio streams. On the same live stream on these libreelec builds I get unknown audio stream in the audio settings while playing the stream. Any clue of why it is?

There are some older builds here
http://milhouse.libreelec.tv/builds/master/RPi2/

that aren't fully documented (although I can probably work out the changes once a build is identified), and would be worth testing those. Also it would be worth testing the final OpenELEC Kodi 17 test build #0415 to determine if this is unique to LE builds (about the only obvious change it's the CA Cert change but not sure why this would affect an application launcher). If the problem is present in OE #0415 then continue backwards with OE builds until the issue is no longer present.

Edit: Also what is "Target category error"? That isn't present in your log snippet so presumably this is something you see on screen? Can you upload a full debug log for the error?

Kind of not normal. It means your FAT partition suffered corruption (which isn't really normal) and these files have been recovered by the filesystem check that runs automatically when the system boots (which is normal, but ideally you shouldn't be suffering from corruption in the first place). Given the number of files it would appear there may have been a problem with the overlays directory. You can delete the FSCK*.REC files.

If it continues to happen then it might be an indication your SD card is beginning to fail.

FSCKxxx.REC means File System check record.
Usually are created if you are not closing down the operating system the "normal" way, like you take the battery out. Linux always check the file system at bootup and if something "not-normal" (any left overs from improper close down) are found then a FSCHxxx.rec file is created to be analysed by the system administrator.
Yes, it is safe to delete them. Sometimes I have them if I am restoring my Pi backups by Clonezilla
