Then you have Deinterlaced forced to On and chosen "Deinterlace" method, which will bypass gpu post processing, copy all the stuff to memory and deinterlace in there. That makes only sense for interlaced content. This setting should never be set to "On".
Loaded another video and checked settings when playing and was set to auto so turned to off.
Loaded video not working and still no go, unable to do anything.
Not sure if the deinterlacd is per movie, but if is then unable to change on video not playing. Would be good if this option was in playback settings menu under video for global setting.

Are there handy instructions for trying this build out on a USB stick? I would like to compare its stability against the current install on my Braswell Beebox.

linux 4.6 is out and the gui freezes are still there on braswell cpu sadly. Still no fix for that issue.
