So i've tried a few mkvs with the WeTek Play SD card image posted from droidelec.

This first isn't played at all (nearly).

Code:
Format profile                           : [email protected]
Format settings, CABAC                   : Yes
Format settings, ReFrames                : 5 frames
Codec ID                                 : V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC
Duration                                 : 2h 21mn
Bit rate                                 : 10 000 Kbps
Width                                    : 1 920 pixels
Height                                   : 800 pixels
Display aspect ratio                     : 2.40:1
Frame rate mode                          : Constant
Frame rate                               : 23.976 (24000/1001) fps

Then I had another, which played better but had stutter sometimes, after maybe 1 minute of watching.
Code:
Format                                   : MPEG Video
Format version                           : Version 2
Format profile                           : Main@Main
Codec ID                                 : V_MPEG2
Codec ID/Info                            : MPEG 1 or 2 Video
Frame rate                               : 25.000 fps

Thank you!

EDIT: didn't try TV. just mkvs. if record needed codesnake can pm me, same for sample mkv.
for me it was better than thought but first mkv was unwatchable and this is "bad". but again it's experimental.

I tried Core build. I used tar file for update.

This file runs OK with random but rare twitch. Video queue is at 0% 99% of time. A dropped frame here and there.

But these three files are not watchable.
Video queue goes from 96% to 0 stays there for a while, a lot of skipped frames, stuttering, some freezes, A/V sync goes bye bye and never comes back. This then repeats. Queue goes to 90+% drops to 0...

No idea who mastered that - but it's a ridiculous encode. 1280x720/23.976p at High@LeVeL 5.1 with 8 reference frames at 5.4Mbs? That sounds like a re-encode done by someone who possibly doesn't know quite what they are doing

A 1280x720/23.976p really only needs to be encoded at Level 3.1 or Level 4 really... And 8 reference frames sounds like too many for a sane encode. That file may be out-of-spec for many hardware decoders.

Or I may be talking rubbish. I know there were lots of hardware players that refused to play Level 5.1 stuff with ridiculous reference frame counts.

What should me tell these three words Huh

So for me at WeTek Play it's the same as for skodilak at WC.
VQ is mostly at 0% and AQ at 99%. Then after some time (that's a little strange),
VQ goes up to 99% then AQ drops down to 0%, followed by VQ going down to 0% again --> hangs, buffering.

codesnake, if you wanna have a record, pls pm me here or at wetekforums.

So ok tried 3 samples from:
http://www.demo-world.eu/2d-demo-trailers-hd/

these were:
20th century fox
marvel studios 2013
lionsgate 2013

everything 23.976p
and behaviour is the same as already described with my own mkvs.

I also tried these three demos and got same results.

I also tried birds and yellyfish videos. On current OE build all birds videos played well and yellyfish too up to 110kbps. 4K 120mbit was stopping every second.
New AML decoder was stuttering on every bird and yellyfish video. Some more some less. But I was surprised on 4K 120mbit yellyfish video it was playing much much better. Almost watchable.

Hi I bought this device for my mother and I am going to set it up for her using teamviwer remote app. I used to own a generic android box and my favourite skin Arctic Zephyr wasn't good enough and it would lag constantly on the box. Does anybody know if Artic Zephyr skin runs smoothly on this box, without any lag?
