Just picked up a brand new unused SAMSUNG UN65JS8500 4k 3D since the 3D market is dead and no one wants 3D panels anymore. I paid $1500 out the door. That will hold me over nicely for a while. 1080 active to each eye and up scaled 2160 rips look incredible. Also just ordered an Onkyo TX-NR646 for $225 that will pass through 4k, Atmos, and dtsX although my speaker install is only 7.2 surround instead of high.
I also bought the 55 JS9000 just for 4K HDR testing and it also comes with a 3D

Negotiated a buy it now offer on eBay open box with 1 month warranty.
I went with the JS8500 because it's flat and the JS9000 is curved screen only.
Curved screen wall mounted doesn't do it for me.
2.2a and SUHD 10 bit.
Put your TV on standby, then press mute,1,8,2 then power.
This is low level service menu.
DO NOT CHANGE ANY SETTINGS!!!!!!!
Digging around in the menu you can find hours powered on, etc.
There's even some sort of Spears & Munsil looking calibration images in there.
Getting way off-topic now.
Peace/out.

Really getting off-topic, but try the 'Exodus' and 'Life of Pi' 4K HDR clips to see HDR difference, unless you have a UHD BD player and actual 4K BD's.

Playback tests with Samsung JS9000
Roku 4 (10bit) = Best
Samsung JS9000 internal = Better
Himedia Q10 Pro = Good

The room, the direct or indirect sunlight has influence in the final result
The way the source and their factory video settings can influence the final result along with the personal preferences, the Roku settings out-of-the-box can be a good match to your JS900 in video mode XYZ you use.
But im sure if you use other TV video/picture settings with the Q10 pro would give you a different result (for better or for worse)
The USB used by the JS9000 can also bypass some picture settings, or the TV reproduction algorithms can be better than the ones in the players, some manufactures specify this in their manual, other not really.
PS: The USB connection from the TV are not a video signal, it's a data transfer - pure and unadulterated, while the HDMI the signal is digital, but it's not the original file, it's a display signal encoded digitally.

These two are also good for hardware 3D effects testings.
LG 2013 1H 3D Contents
LG 2013 2H 3D Contents
Not sure if the source in the US to purchase, got mine from a friend at Best Buy.
